Honor has just introduced its Magic7 series in Europe, featuring the Magic7 Pro and Magic7 Lite. Let’s take a closer look at the capabilities of these new smartphones.
Honor Magic7 Pro
Initially revealed in China in late October, the Magic7 Pro is now available for international consumers with several modifications. It sports a 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED screen that delivers a resolution of 1280x2800px, along with a refresh rate that varies from 1 to 120Hz. The peak brightness reaches a stunning 1,600 nits during regular use, while HDR brightness escalates to a remarkable 5,000 nits. Additionally, Honor has incorporated high-frequency PWM dimming at 4,320MHz to help minimize eye fatigue.
This device is driven by Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, combined with 12GB of RAM. It has a 5,270mAh battery that supports both 100W wired and wireless charging, although this is a reduction from the 5,850mAh battery found in its Chinese model, as well as its predecessor’s 5,600mAh battery.
Exceptional Camera Features
Despite having a smaller battery, the Magic7 Pro maintains an advanced camera system. It features a 50MP primary camera with a 1/1.3-inch sensor and a variable aperture that can shift between f/1.4 and f/2.0. Accompanying this is a 200MP 3x periscope zoom camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor and a 50MP ultrawide lens that also supports macro photography, rounding out the rear camera arrangement. For selfies, there’s a 50MP front camera paired with a 3D camera for facial recognition, all neatly integrated into a pill-shaped notch.
The Magic7 Pro operates on MagicOS 9.0, which is built on Android 15. It includes functionalities like Magic Portal, AI-driven Honor Notes, real-time AI translation, and Gemini AI. Furthermore, this device is IP68 and IP69 rated, ensuring it is safeguarded against dust and water, including hot water jets.
Honor Magic7 Lite
As for the Magic7 Lite, it showcases a slightly smaller 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1224x2700px and a refresh rate of 120Hz. This model is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, along with 8GB of RAM. It has a robust 6,600mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging to keep the device running.
In terms of camera capabilities, the Magic7 Lite is equipped with a 108MP main sensor, a 5MP ultrawide lens, and a 16MP front camera for selfies.
The pricing for the Magic7 Lite starts at €370 (around ₹32,800) for the 8/256GB variant, while the 8/512GB model is offered at €400/£400 (approximately ₹35,500). It comes in two striking colors: Titanium Purple and Titanium Black.
