Honor is slowly sharing information about its upcoming Magic 7 smartphone. The company recently announced that this device is set to debut on October 30th in China. In a live stream, CEO Zhao Ming gave us an exclusive look at the phone's design and showcased some features.
Magic 7’s Design Insights
The Magic 7 appears to follow the trend of thinner bezels. The phone presents a sleek appearance with narrow bezels on every side and a quad-curved design, similar to its predecessor. At the top, there’s a recognizable pill-shaped cutout, probably for the selfie camera and a 3D face recognition system. The CEO turned the phone around to reveal the back, but the hard case kept the design hidden. However, we could spot two lens openings arranged diagonally, an LED flash, and an extra opening that seems to be for laser autofocus. We’ll need to wait for additional teasers to see the complete back design.
Enhanced AI Assistant Features
On the software front, Zhao showcased the advancements in Honor’s AI Agent, their intelligent voice assistant. It appears that the assistant has become more intuitive and is capable of managing various tasks with simple voice commands. During the demonstration, Zhao said, “Order three cups of American coffee,” and the phone quickly searched for the item and completed the order in just minutes. Users only need to confirm and make the payment – the assistant handles the rest.
Anticipating the Full Reveal
These are merely a few highlights of what the Magic 7 could offer.
