In October, Honor introduced the Honor Magic 7 and Magic 7 Pro in China. Later, in December, it launched the Magic 7 RSR Porsche Design, which is a high-end variant of the Pro model. A recent leak from Chinese tech influencer Fixed Focus Digital has shown that Honor is preparing to release an updated version of the Magic 7.
New Honor Magic 7 Set for April Release
According to the leak, the updated Honor Magic 7 is expected to come out in China in April. It is believed that this new device will have a battery capacity of over 6,000mAh and include a periscope telephoto camera. While there are no clear details about the other specifications, it is assumed that many features from the current model will stay the same.
Honor Magic 7 Specs Overview
The Honor Magic 7 is equipped with a 5,650mAh battery that supports 100W wired charging and 80W wireless charging. The camera system comprises a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with OIS and 3x optical zoom. Unlike the Magic 7 Pro, which has a periscope telephoto lens, the standard Magic 7 does not include this feature.
The device has a 6.78-inch OLED LTPO display that provides a resolution of 1.5K and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Inside, it runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite, with options for up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and as much as 1 TB of storage. Operating on Magic OS 9.0 built on Android 15, the phone also features a 50-megapixel front camera for selfies. Additional features include an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner, support for satellite connectivity, and a body rated at IP68/69.
