Honor Executive: “Small Matter” Response to Redmi Apology

Redmi has recently unveiled their mid-range smartphone, Redmi Turbo 3, at an official event in China. However, during its unveiling conference an accidental mislabeling occurred when Redmi's phone was mistakenly identified with its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered Honor 100 Pro; becoming known by mistake as its "third generation Snapdragon 7."

Apology and Clarification

After this oversight occurred at the press conference, Wang Teng, General Manager of Redmi brand immediately acknowledged and apologized for its effects.

Similar incidents have been documented. At a Zhiji L6 press conference, incorrect information regarding Xiaomi SU7 was shared incorrectly; prompting Redmi officials to apologize for their mistake and for Honor to explain itself further on Weibo by honor product manager Wei Xiaolong who clarified on Weibo the significance of healthy competition as driving progress and development within Chinese smartphone industry.
