HMD has recently launched the HMD Touch 4G, which is a small all-screen feature phone that is only available in India. Although there have been some leaks that suggest intriguing information about HMD’s second-generation modular smartphone, known as the Fusion 2, there is no announcement date yet. Another leak has come out, highlighting vital specifications for a new smartphone that could be marketed as a premium mid-range option.

Codename and Specifications

The name of this upcoming smartphone remains a mystery, but HMD_MEME (@smashx_60) has shared that it might be codenamed “Lord Chaos”. When it finally makes its debut, it is expected to boast impressive features, including an OLED display with a refresh rate of 144Hz and HDR10+ support. Presently, the only phone from HMD with a 144Hz display is the HMD Skyline, which is available on Amazon for $409.94.

Processor and Performance

The “Lord Chaos” will house a powerful 4nm Qualcomm processor that clocks at 2.8GHz, along with an Adreno 722 GPU. These specs align with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor that was introduced in May 2025 and can also be found in devices like the Realme 15 Pro 5G. For performance, HMD plans to pair this processor with 12GB of RAM and an undisclosed amount of UFS 3.1 storage.

Camera and Battery Features

In addition, the phone is set to feature a 108MP main rear camera, a large 5,000mAh battery, and support for 65W fast wired charging. It will come equipped with a USB 3.1 Type-C port and will support Qi2 wireless charging, similar to the HMD Skyline. Out of the box, the device will run on Android 16.

There are rumors that this could either be the HMD Skyline 2 or the anticipated HMD Skyline 2 GT. Yet, a previous leak has shown different specifications for both models, which adds to the uncertainty.
