Google Pixel 9a Leak: Rumored Price and Full Specs Revealed

The Google Pixel 9a is expected to launch soon, just under a year after the Pixel 8a, which is currently priced at $499 on Amazon. Leaked information indicates that there may be several notable differences between the two models. For example, the Pixel A series is anticipated to increase in size from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches, making the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9a approximately the same dimensions.

Display and Battery Enhancements

However, the Pixel 9a will feature a 120 Hz AMOLED display that can only switch down to 60 Hz when needed; it lacks the LTPO backplane technology that allows for genuine variable refresh rates. Additionally, this upcoming model is likely to come equipped with a battery that is 13% larger, exceeding 5,000 mAh. The Pixel 9a will be able to charge this sizable battery at a maximum rate of 7.5 W wirelessly and 18 W through a wired connection.

Performance and Camera Features

As expected, Google will utilize the Tensor G4 chip, which will be combined with 8 GB of RAM and storage options of 128 GB or 256 GB. Furthermore, the Pixel 9a is rumored to include a new 48 MP main camera, alongside the same 13 MP front-facing and ultra-wide-angle cameras found in the previous model. It is said that the Pixel 9a will make its official debut in March 2025, retailing for $499, which aligns with the price of the Pixel 8a.
