Vivo V30 with Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 Chipset Spotted on Geekbench
Last month, Qualcomm unveiled its flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which has already made its way into smartphones like the Xiaomi 14 series and iQOO 12 series in China. Now, it seems that Qualcomm is also preparing to launch two Snapdragon 7-series chipsets. One of these chipsets, believed to be the next-generation Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, is expected to debut later this month or in early December. In line with this, the alleged Vivo V30 smartphone featuring the unannounced Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset has now appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform.
Vivo V30 Geekbench Listing
According to reports, Vivo is currently working on the Vivo V30 and Vivo V30 Pro, with model numbers V2318 and V2319, respectively. The alleged Vivo V30 has now surfaced on the Geekbench platform, specifically in the database of the Vulkan test, which measures GPU performance. The device has achieved a score of 4167 points in this test, indicating its powerful performance.
Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 Chipset and Specifications
The benchmark listing reveals that the Vivo V30 is powered by a Qualcomm chip, which is likely to be the upcoming Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. It also features 12 GB of RAM and runs on Android 14. Going into more detail about the chip, the listing shows that the SD7G3 consists of a high-performance core clocked at 2.63GHz, three performance cores operating at 2.40GHz, and four efficiency cores running at 1.80GHz. Additionally, it is equipped with an Adreno 720 GPU for enhanced graphics performance.
Vivo's Upcoming Releases
While there is no official information about the launch date of the Vivo V30 series, it is worth noting that Vivo is also expected to release the Vivo S18 and Vivo S18 Pro smartphones in China. The Vivo S18 is likely to feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, while the S18 Pro could come with the Dimensity 9200 Plus chipset. It is speculated that the Vivo V30 may be a modified version of the S18, while the V30 Pro could be a rebranded edition of the V30 Pro. It is anticipated that the Vivo V30 series will make its debut in the first quarter of 2024 in various global markets, including India.
