Galaxy Z Flip 6: Leaked Images and Specs Before Launch

Samsung is set to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6, alongside the Galaxy Ring and Galaxy Watch 7 series, at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10. Renowned tipster Evan Blass has shared detailed images of the Galaxy Z Flip 6, revealing a design that closely mirrors its predecessor. Notably, the ring around the rear camera modules appears thicker and more pronounced, while the display borders maintain the same thickness.

An upgraded main sensor and a new chip

Even though the Galaxy Z Flip 6 looks similar to its predecessor on the exterior, it reportedly includes some internal upgrades. According to Ishan Agarwal, the Z Flip 6 will feature a 6.7-inch screen, identical to the predecessor's Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel, offering a FHD+ resolution (1080 x 2640) and a 120Hz refresh rate.

In terms of camera specifications, the rear setup is expected to include a 50MP main camera with an aperture of F1.8 and a 12MP ultrawide camera with an aperture of F2.2. This is a notable improvement from the predecessor's 12MP main sensor. Additionally, the front camera is likely to be upgraded from 10MP to 32MP for more detailed selfies.

Performance and build

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the same one used in the Galaxy S24 Ultra. This chipset will be paired with 12GB of RAM and storage options of either 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.0. For context, the Z Flip 5 comes with 8GB of RAM and similar storage options.

Interestingly, the new phone might be slightly thicker, measuring 7.4mm compared to the 6.9mm thickness of the Galaxy Z Flip 5. This increase could be due to the larger sensor or a slightly bigger battery. The Z Flip 6 will come with a 4000mAh battery, which is 300mAh more than its predecessor. Despite these changes, the phone will reportedly maintain the same 25W charging speed as before.
