Galaxy S25: Play Genshin Impact at 120 FPS for Peak Performance

Rumors about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 are continuing to emerge. Earlier leaks suggested that the S25 might feature MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 chipset, while other reports hinted at a sleeker design with rounded corners for the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The latest rumor, however, elevates the S25's capabilities further, claiming it will be able to run Genshin Impact at a smooth 120FPS. This is notable, as even many modern flagship devices struggle to maintain 60FPS on this demanding game.

The Galaxy S25 series is expected to come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. Thanks to its AI-powered frame generation, achieving higher FPS during gameplay will be significantly easier. Given that current Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 devices can handle Genshin Impact at 60FPS, the new rumors suggest double the gaming performance. This technology is comparable to AMD’s FSR and Nvidia’s DLSS.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is set to be unveiled in October 2024. However, AI-powered frame generation may not be compatible with every game, as developers need to optimize their titles for this technology. Qualcomm introducing a powerful chipset to the Android market is exciting, especially considering that some console games are already playable on the iPhone 15 Pro. The only concern is that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 may come with a hefty price tag.
