Casio has revealed the GA-2100 Hiroshima Toyo Carp Edition, a special G-Shock watch made in partnership with the Hiroshima Toyo Carp baseball team. Following the popularity of models like the DW-5600CARP-1JR from 2009, this new watch will be launched on February 1, with only 2,000 pieces available.
Pricing and Features
The GA-2100 Carp Edition is priced at ¥18,000 (around $115) and showcases the team’s signature red and black color scheme. Its octagonal bezel, affectionately called the “CasiOak,” features a dial adorned with red indices, accents, and the Carp logo set against a black backdrop. The backplate boasts an engraving of the team’s logo along with the words “Limited Edition.” Additionally, the watch is packaged in a vibrant red tin box branded with Carp logos.
Durability and Availability
This G-Shock model is built to last with its shock resistance, 200-meter water resistance, and a carbon core guard structure, making it both strong and light. The bio-resin band adds to the comfort while being eco-friendly. In Japan, sales will be conducted through a lottery system, giving priority to members of the Carp fan club.
Other Updates from Casio
In other updates, Casio Japan has launched the Fine Metallic Series as part of its G-Shock collection. This new series combines stainless-steel bezels with silicone bands to offer improved durability and comfort. It features the square GM-5600 and octagonal GM-2100 models, available in both silver and gold finishes.
