Fujifilm Launches Lightweight TS-L2040 Binoculars with 20x Zoom

The new Techno-Stabi TS-L2040 binoculars are designed to be a lighter choice compared to the TS-X 1440 model. Weighing in at 852 grams, this new version is about a third lighter. Despite its lightweight, it offers impressive capabilities, including a 20x magnification that makes objects 60 meters away appear as though they are only 3 meters distant. It’s important to note that objects need to be at least five meters away for the focus feature to function effectively.

Durability and Adjustments

These binoculars are suitable for use in temperatures ranging from -10 °C to +50 °C, and they have an IPX7 rating, which means they are waterproof. The distance between the eyepieces can be adjusted from 5.6 to 7 centimeters, and there’s an integrated diopter correction that allows adjustments of up to +/- 2.0 diopters for improved optics.

Enhanced Imaging

When compared to the more affordable TS-12x28WP model, the images produced by the TS-L2040 are reportedly 39% brighter. A standout feature is the electronic image stabilization that helps counteract slight camera shakes of up to 3 degrees. This technology makes the images appear much steadier and smoother, enhancing the overall usability. However, it’s worth noting that the image stabilization requires power, and the binoculars run on two AAA batteries, which are said to last around 30 hours.
