In April of this year, Anker's Eufy brand introduced two new trackers compatible with Google's "Find My Device". However, these devices, which are Google's alternative to Apple's "Find My" network, have not hit the shelves yet, unlike the AirTags. Recently, a leak has surfaced regarding an updated version of the Eufy Security SmartTrack Card.
New Model on the Horizon
A Reddit post claims that Eufy is preparing to release the Eufy Security SmartTrack Card E30, identified by the model number T87B1. This device is designed in a debit card format, making it ideal for tracking wallets, though it can also be used to locate other items through Apple's "Find My" service.
Features and Improvements
The upcoming Eufy Security SmartTrack Card E30 is already listed on Eufy's official website, complete with a user manual. It features a significant upgrade: it is rechargeable, unlike the previous model, which had a non-replaceable battery. The old version offered a battery life of approximately three years, after which it would become electronic waste. This new variant effectively addresses that concern.
The Eufy Security SmartTrack Card E30 can be charged using the included USB-C charging adapter and features two contact points on the card itself. Reportedly, the battery life can last up to 365 days, or one year, before requiring a recharge again. The leaked information also suggests that the tracker is water-resistant and may store contact information via a QR code.
Release Date and Pricing
At this point, the exact launch date for the Eufy Security SmartTrack Card E30 remains uncertain, but it should be coming soon. Pricing details are still unknown, but it is expected to be significantly higher than the existing Eufy Security SmartTrack Card, which is priced around $30 on Amazon.
