Moreover, Hisense will be the first television manufacturer to support Dolby Vision 2, featuring its upcoming RGB-MiniLED TV models powered by the MediaTek Pentonic 800 and equipped with the “MiraVision Pro” PQ Engine.
Features of Dolby Vision 2
Dolby asserts that the updated version of the Dolby Vision standard incorporates a feature called Content Intelligence. This innovative addition comes with new AI-driven tools aimed at improving image quality based on what users are viewing and where they are viewing it from.

One of the highlights of Dolby Vision 2 is the introduction of a bi-directional tone-mapping algorithm. This allows high-performance televisions to achieve increased brightness, enhanced contrast, and more vibrant colors, all while maintaining the artistic vision of creators.

In addition, Dolby aims to augment motion processing with a feature named Authentic Motion. This is touted as “the world’s first creative-driven motion control tool” designed to make scenes appear more authentically cinematic without introducing undesired judder on a shot-by-shot basis.
