Game Key Cards have faced substantial backlash from gamers because they only deliver a digital activation key, lacking any actual game data.
This context, combined with the fact that many third-party titles for the Switch 2 are being sold on Game-Key Cards, has frustrated gamers, with Cyberpunk 2077 being one of the few exceptions. The reason lies in the limitation of 64GB available to developers who choose a physical cartridge release for their games.
Nintendo’s Market Performance
Earlier this month, Nintendo shared its own results, reporting that the Switch 2 sold over 6 million units in the first seven weeks after its launch. The day-one first-party title, Mario Kart World, has reportedly sold 5.63 million copies worldwide.
