Honor is set to unveil its latest smartphone, the Honor X50 GT, on January 4th in China. The company has released two posters, giving us a glimpse of the device's design. As the name suggests, the Honor X50 GT is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset, similar to its predecessor, the Honor X40 GT, which was announced in October 2022.
Honor X50 GT Design
The Honor X50 GT will sport a curved-edge OLED display on the front. The second poster reveals that the phone will be available in black and white color options. The black variant features a simple back design, while the white variant comes with a golden strip, indicating the presence of a 108-megapixel primary camera. Interestingly, the phone will have a dual-camera setup on the rear. However, Honor has not yet disclosed any information about the specifications of the X50 GT.
Honor X50 Pro Rumored Specifications
According to reports, the Honor X50 GT could share similarities with the upcoming Honor X50 Pro. It is speculated that the X50 Pro will be targeted towards the offline market, while the X50 GT will cater to the online audience.
The Honor X50 Pro is expected to boast an OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution. Under the hood, it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and will offer up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of storage.
In terms of battery, the device will house a 5,800mAh battery with support for 35W fast charging. It will run on Magic OS 7.2-based Android 14 and will feature an in-screen fingerprint sensor for added security. There are speculations that the X50 Pro could be priced at around 2,000 Yuan (~$280).
