Casio Launches G-Shock DW6900BI24-1 Watch with 5-Year Battery
The Casio G-Shock DW6900BI24-1 watch has recently been listed on the brand’s US website. This timepiece is a collaboration with Baseballism, a lifestyle brand focused on baseball in America. Its design incorporates several elements that pay homage to the sport.

On the top of the DW6900BI24-1 watch face, you can see a small figure of a baseball player, while the gold watch face and black band showcase a diamond motif. Additionally, the watch includes the Baseballism logo and is packaged in a tin. Like other models in the 6900 series, it boasts standard features such as a stopwatch that measures 1/100th of a second, a countdown timer, alarms, and hourly signals. The blue Super Illuminator backlight is a handy feature for dark environments, and it is water resistant up to 200m. Furthermore, this shock-resistant timepiece is designed to last for about five years on a CR2016 battery.

The Casio G-Shock DW6900BI24-1 watch debuted on December 12th at the Baseballism online store and was sold out almost instantly. KFC x Casio G-Shock GA-2100 Limited Edition Watch Release
KFC has joined forces with Casio to create a special edition G-Shock GA-2100 watch specifically for the UK market. The collaboration highlights Casio’s roots in Japan, along with the unique tradition of enjoying KFC during Christmas in Japan.

This exclusive G-Shock GA-2100 comes in a vibrant red color and proudly displays the KFC logo on its strap. Aside from that, it shares similarities with other watches in the series. Google Launches Android XR for Mixed Reality Headsets and Glasses
Google has introduced a new operating system designed for virtual reality (VR) and mixed reality (MR) headsets. Named Android XR, this OS was developed in partnership with Samsung and will also be compatible with smart glasses in the future.
Years of Development
A recent press release details that Android XR is the culmination of extensive investment in AI, augmented reality (AR), and VR technologies. The first device powered by Android XR is set to launch in 2025, with Samsung as its manufacturer. This device, known as Project Moohan, will be a headset intended to compete with Meta’s Quest 3, which can be found on Amazon priced at $499.
App Compatibility and Exclusive Features
Since Android XR is derived from the Android platform, users can expect apps from the Play Store to function seamlessly. Furthermore, next year will see the introduction of specialized apps designed specifically for XR. Notable among these are tailored versions of YouTube and Google TV, enabling viewers to enjoy content on a virtual large screen. Google Photos will also get an XR twist, allowing users to experience their images in 3D.

Huawei Watch GT 5 and GT 5 Pro Festive Editions Launch Event
Huawei has introduced festive versions of the Watch GT 5 and Watch GT 5 Pro in Europe. These new editions come after the original model was released in September. The 41mm Watch GT 5 is available in red, while both the 46mm Watch GT 5 and the Watch GT 5 Pro are offered in green. Buyers can select from a range of watch sets for each model.
Watch Strap Options
The red 41mm Watch GT 5 can be paired with red and blue fluoroelastomer straps, red fluoroelastomer straps combined with white leather, or a mix of red fluoroelastomer and gold Milanese straps. On the other hand, the larger green Watch GT 5 is presented with options for green and black fluoroelastomer straps, as well as green fluoroelastomer straps paired with brown leather. TicWatch Atlas Smartwatches Getting Exciting New Update Soon
Mobvoi has shared news about a fresh update for the TicWatch Atlas smartwatch. Launched in October, this wearable is touted as the brand’s "most rugged smartwatch yet." It bears a close resemblance to the previous TicWatch Pro 5 and TicWatch Pro 5 Enduro models, both of which are also set to get updates soon.

The new version, TMDB.240925.002, is said to enhance the loading process for certain third-party watch faces when leaving Essential Mode. It addresses various bugs, including issues with missing VO2 Max and Recovery Time data, as well as silent sleep alarms that shouldn’t be. Additionally, this update includes a security patch dated November 1st. The change log also mentions other bug fixes and optimizations, but does not elaborate on them.

In a recent social media post, Mobvoi revealed that the update will be rolled out to 10% of users starting December 12th, with all users expected to receive it by December 19th. Amazfit T-Rex 3 Smartwatch Update: Enhanced Navigation Features
Zepp Health seems to be introducing a new software update for the T-Rex 3 smartwatch. This model was launched in September during IFA Berlin and is gaining a lot of attention. Users on Reddit have reported the arrival of version 3.3.7.1 for this wearable device.
Recent Updates
This update comes right on the heels of the previous version 3.3.6.1, which was released at the end of November. That update included exciting features such as tap to wake and a Ski mountaineering activity. In contrast, version 3.3.7.1 is a smaller update. Based on the change log, Zepp Health has improved the stability of track navigation while exercising. Additionally, there’s an enhancement in the accuracy of the time display when the T-Rex 3 is in always-on-display (AOD) mode. The size of this system update is 10.91MB.

Casio G-Shock G-B001SF-7 Bluetooth Watch Discontinued
The Casio G-Shock G-B001SF-7JR watch has officially been discontinued in Japan. This model was introduced in July 2023 and is based on the classic DW-001 design, which features the Capsule Tough look first seen in 1994.

Currently, the watch is listed as Discontinued on the Casio Japan online store, where it was priced at ¥ 18,700 (approximately $123). Nevertheless, the other two models in the same series, the DW-B5600SF-7JF and the GA-B001SF-7AJF, continue to be sold in Japan.
