    Convenient Controls and Additional Features

Users can effortlessly switch between front and rear cameras with a single click. The remote control works within a 10-meter range, though some advanced features like zoom and mode switching are limited to Xiaomi and MIUI devices.

The selfie stick features a built-in rotatable phone clamp, allowing for multi-axis rotation, making it easier to adjust shooting angles and switch between landscape and portrait orientations. • GoPro Hero 13 Leak Reveals New Design and Accessories

GoPro Hero 13 Leak Reveals New Design and Accessories

GoPro appears to be maintaining its tradition of annual releases for its leading action cameras. The upcoming Hero 13 Black has been largely exposed through a now-removed Amazon listing (via TechStoriesIndia).

According to the details from the listing, the Hero 13 Black is scheduled for launch on September 16th, coinciding closely with DJI’s anticipated release of the Osmo Action 5 Pro.

    Design and Accessories

Images from the Amazon listing indicate that the Hero 13 Black shares a similar design to the Hero 12 Black. The emphasis this time seems to be on enhancing accessory options rather than implementing major hardware changes.

A new Macro Lens Mod is expected, offering 3x magnification, alongside an Ultra Wide Lens Mod that purportedly provides a 177-degree field of view.

    Core Camera and Mounting Solutions

While these lens mods aim at specific shooting needs, details on the Hero 13 Black’s main camera features are still unknown. Information regarding sensor advancements, frame rate options, or other internal upgrades hasn’t been disclosed yet.

In addition to the lens modifications, GoPro is reportedly launching new mounting solutions, such as the Magnetic Latch and Magnetic Latch Ball Joint. These will complement existing accessories like the Floaty handgrip and Protective Sleeve.

    Future Releases and Market Impact

The leak also hints at a possible successor to the Hero 11 Black Mini, although details about this model are limited.

GoPro’s incremental strategy might not fully satisfy action camera fans. While the new lens mods provide added functionality, the absence of substantial hardware enhancements might make the Hero 13 Black a less appealing upgrade for current Hero 12 Black users.

We must await an official statement from GoPro to validate these leaks and gain a comprehensive understanding of the Hero 13 Black’s features and potential pricing.

  • DJI Drones Aid Everest Region Mountain Waste Cleanup in Nepal

DJI Drones Aid Everest Region Mountain Waste Cleanup in Nepal

Nepal is set to pioneer the use of drones for high-altitude logistics, with the deployment of DJI drones to replace Sherpas in carrying supplies and removing waste from the Everest region. This groundbreaking initiative aims to mitigate risks associated with the perilous task traditionally undertaken by human porters.

DJI’s FlyCart 30 model is particularly proving to be a huge asset. Sherpas have historically borne the burden of transporting essential supplies, such as oxygen cylinders, tents, and food, across treacherous terrain. The implementation of drones, particularly DJI’s FlyCart 30 model, capable of carrying up to 30 kilograms, offers a safer and more efficient alternative.

    Reducing Risks and Casualties

By automating these critical tasks, Nepal aims to reduce the number of casualties on Mount Everest, where icefalls have claimed the lives of nearly 50 individuals since 1953. While concerns about job displacement have been raised, officials and climbers alike view drones as a vital tool for improving safety and environmental conditions.

    Addressing Environmental Challenges

The Everest region has faced increasing challenges due to overcrowding and climate change, resulting in a significant accumulation of waste. Drones are expected to play a crucial role in waste management and cleanup efforts in this fragile ecosystem.

DJI’s FlyCart 30, with its impressive payload capacity and ability to operate in extreme conditions, is well-suited for the demanding environment of the Himalayas. This development marks a significant step forward in the application of drone technology for humanitarian and logistical purposes.

  • Google Photos AI Editing Tools Now Available: Tips to Maximize Usage

Google Photos AI Editing Tools Now Available: Tips to Maximize Usage

Google recently introduced a range of AI-driven photo editing tools in Google Photos, which were initially exclusive to select Pixel and Galaxy devices. But in April, the tech giant announced that these AI-based editing features would be accessible to all Google Photos users. “It’s really exciting that so many more people will be able to use these tools,” said Selena Shang, Google Photos senior product manager. The company has reportedly fine-tuned these AI tools to ensure they function well on various devices.

Google Photos AI Editing Tools Now Available: Tips to Maximize Usage

In a recent blog update, Google also elaborated on how to best utilize tools like Magic Editor, Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, and others, which are also discussed in this article.

Maximizing Magic Editor’s Erase Tool and Magic Eraser

Magic Editor includes several features, one of which is the generative AI-powered Erase tool. According to Google, the Erase feature in Magic Editor and Magic Eraser can both help remove unwanted elements from photos, but they are optimized for different tasks.

“Magic Eraser works best for quick fixes on smaller portions of the photo,” Selena explains. She notes that Magic Eraser is ideal for removing people or objects from the background of landscape shots. For more prominent and complex foreground objects, or those occupying a larger portion of the photo, Magic Editor’s generative AI is more effective at filling the space. This tool is expected to deliver superior results for “more complex erases.”

    Selecting Objects in Magic Editor

Magic Editor offers three different methods for selecting an object: tapping, brushing, or circling. According to Google, some methods are better suited for specific types of selection. Objects with clear boundaries, like a water bottle in the foreground, are typically easier to tap. However, for objects with less distinct edges, such as tree leaves, circling or brushing might be more effective. Users can also zoom in to achieve higher precision in their selections.

There is also a strength slider that allows users to adjust the intensity of edits. This can be useful for fine-tuning the results. “After applying Portrait Light, I’ll play with the strength because sometimes I want the effect to be a little more subtle,” Selena says. This slider is also applicable for Photo Unblur, where AI enhances the subject’s details. However, users might opt to retain some fuzziness for an artistic effect, for which they can adjust the strength of the enhancement.
