Oppo's custom Android interface, ColorOS 15, is gearing up for its beta testing stage towards the end of August, as per trusted source Digital Chat Station. The OnePlus 12 and Oppo Find X7 series will be at the forefront to try out this fresh software.
Beta Testing Phase
Initially, the beta test will have limited availability, but a broader public beta and a complete rollout are expected to happen before the year's conclusion. ColorOS 15 is seen as a significant upgrade aimed at improving user experience and connectivity.
Rumored Features of ColorOS 15
Reports suggest that the forthcoming OS will bring numerous new features. These include a separate control center, revamped floating windows, a customizable lock screen, and GPU interpolation technology.
Moreover, the update is rumored to enhance system animations and introduce a feature akin to Apple’s Live Photos, capturing 1.5 seconds before and after a photo is taken.
ColorOS 15 is also expected to feature an AirDrop-like file transfer capability for Android and Apple devices, although iOS users will need a specific app to utilize it.
Additionally, the update is anticipated to include a Dynamic Island-like feature similar to Apple's, offering enhanced customization and a more centralized design, potentially integrated with the camera module.
Expected Eligible Smartphones
In addition to the two models mentioned, the ColorOS 15 update is likely to be available for a range of Oppo and OnePlus devices, such as the Oppo Find N3, X6, Reno11, and Reno 10 series. It will also be accessible for OnePlus models including the OnePlus 11, Ace 3, Ace 3V, Ace 2 Pro, Ace 2, and Ace 2V.
