Realme Neo7 Turbo Launch: Fast Charging and Powerful Chipset

    Key Takeaways

    1. Redmi and iQoo are both using the “Turbo” name in 2025, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip.
    2. Realme is expected to compete with the Dimensity 9400e platform from MediaTek.
    3. The Neo7 series may introduce updated specs and a new name, potentially disadvantaging it against the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro.
    4. The Neo7 series features a 7,000mAh battery, while the Turbo 4 Pro has a larger 7,550mAh battery.
    5. The upcoming “Neo7 Turbo” is anticipated to have 100W charging, an upgrade from the Turbo 4 Pro’s 90W.

Redmi and iQoo are both claiming the Turbo name in 2025, thanks to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip from Qualcomm. But, Realme is expected to argue that it can rival this with the Dimensity 9400e platform from MediaTek shortly.

    New Specs on the Horizon

The smartphone in focus is rumored to enhance the Neo7 series with updated specifications and a new name. This information, reportedly leaked by the well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, could suggest a possible disadvantage when compared to the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro.

    Battery Comparisons

The Neo7 series has established itself as Realme’s first smartphones with a 7,000mAh battery, while the Turbo 4 Pro was introduced with a bigger 7,550mAh battery.

On the other hand, the “Neo7 Turbo” (or Realme RMX5062, as it might be referred to in its new 3C certification) is also expected to feature the same 100W charging capability as the flagship OnePlus 13, which is an upgrade from the 90W in the Turbo 4 Pro.

    Future Possibilities

Additionally, there is still a chance that this upcoming Turbo model could have a battery capacity that exceeds the current Neo7 and 7 SE models.

  • Honor 400 and 400 Pro Launch with 7,200mAh Battery Capacity

Honor 400 and 400 Pro Launch with 7,200mAh Battery Capacity

    Key Takeaways

    1. The Honor 400 and Honor 400 Pro will feature a large 7,200mAh battery, a significant increase from the previous 5,300mAh in the Honor 300 series.
    2. The 7,200mAh battery capacity applies to the Chinese models, while European versions may have smaller batteries.
    3. The Honor Power still holds the record for the largest battery in an Honor smartphone, with an 8,000mAh capacity.
    4. Honor has not revealed the charging speeds for the new smartphones, but previous models supported 100W fast wired charging.
    5. The official launch for the Honor 400 series in China is on May 28, with a European announcement on May 22.

While smartphones with very large battery capacities have been around for a long time, they weren’t common because they made the phones thicker. Recently, though, things have changed, and now we see phones with big batteries that are not too thick. The new Honor 400 series is set to join this trend, as an official has announced the battery size for these devices.

    Announcement on Weibo

According to Lin Lin, who is the vice president of Honor China, both the Honor 400 and the Honor 400 Pro will feature an impressive 7,200mAh battery capacity. This is a significant increase from the 5,300mAh battery found in the Honor 300 series that was introduced last year.

    Regional Variations

It’s also worth mentioning that this battery capacity pertains to the Chinese models of the phones. Honor typically releases phones with smaller batteries in Europe, meaning the versions sold there could have different capacities. For instance, the Honor Magic 7 Pro (which can be found on Amazon.de for €999.90) has a European variant sporting a 5,270mAh battery, while the global model comes with a larger 5,850mAh battery.

    Comparison with Honor Power

Even though the battery capacity of the upcoming Honor 400 series phones is commendable, it is still less than that of the Honor Power, which holds the record for the largest battery in an Honor smartphone. Launched in April 2025, the Honor Power comes with a massive 8,000mAh battery that charges at 66W.

Honor has confirmed the battery specs for these new smartphones, but it hasn’t disclosed their charging speeds. Last year’s Honor 300 could handle 100W fast wired charging, and both the Honor 300 Pro and Honor 300 Ultra supported 100W fast wired charging along with 80W fast wireless charging.

    Launch Dates

The Honor 400 series is set to officially launch in China on Wednesday, May 28. However, the announcement will take place in Europe first on May 22, as per Lin Lin’s post on Weibo.

Xiaomi has recently announced that it will officially launch its own Xring 01 chipset later this month. Although complete specifications for the chipset haven’t been revealed yet, a new listing on Geekbench for the purported Xiaomi 15s Pro provides some interesting insights. This device may very well be the first smartphone to utilize the new in-house chip.

    Xiaomi 15s Pro on Geekbench

The Xiaomi 15s Pro, identified by the model number 25042PN24C, was previously seen on China’s 3C certification site. Its appearance on the Geekbench platform suggests that the device is equipped with the Xring 01 chipset.

From the listing, it’s clear that the Xring 01 is a deca-core processor with the following core setup:
    – 2 high-performance cores at 3.90GHz

    – 2 efficiency cores at 1.89GHz
    – 2 additional efficiency cores at 1.80GHz
    – GPU: Mali-G925 Immortalis.

    Impressive Benchmark Results

The listing also indicates that the phone will come with 16GB of RAM and will run Android 15 right out of the box. The benchmark scores are quite remarkable:

    – Multi-core score: 8068

These benchmark results are very impressive, nearing what the Snapdragon 8 Elite achieves on Geekbench. Since the 15s Pro belongs to Xiaomi’s flagship 15 series, it is anticipated to deliver performance that rivals Qualcomm’s premier silicon.

    Future of Xiaomi’s Chipset

Previous reports suggest that the Xiaomi 16 and 16 Pro are set to debut in China in September 2025 as the first smartphones to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 16 Ultra and 16s Pro are expected to follow in the first half of 2026. It remains unclear whether the Xiaomi 16 Ultra will utilize Qualcomm’s chipset or the Xring 01, but there is speculation that the Xiaomi 16s Pro could incorporate Xiaomi’s self-developed chipset, similar to the 15s Pro.

Before their official unveiling, a live photo of both devices has surfaced on a Chinese social media site. The image indicates that the camera module design on these new phones is significantly different from that of the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro, which were introduced in December 2024.

    New Design Insights

In contrast to the existing OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro, which feature a round camera module, the upcoming Ace 5 series will showcase a unique camera island design. The image suggests that the device on the left is the OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra, boasting a vertical dual-camera layout along with an LED flash integrated within. iPhone 17 Air Battery Capacity Leaks: Shocking Details Revealed

    Key Takeaways

    1. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S25 Edge, featuring a 3,900mAh battery, making it the thinnest smartphone in several years.
    2. The upcoming iPhone 17 Air is only 5.5mm thick but has a smaller 2,800mAh battery, which may be seen as disappointing compared to competitors.
    3. Apple may implement high-density battery technology for the iPhone 17 Air, potentially increasing battery performance by 15 to 20 percent.
    4. The iPhone 17 Air will have a 6.6-inch screen, Dynamic Island, a Camera Control button, and is expected to weigh just 145 grams.
    5. The iPhone 17 Air is anticipated to be priced lower than the iPhone 17 Pro and is expected to launch in September or October 2025.

Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy S25 Edge, its thinnest smartphone in several years, featuring a 3,900mAh battery. While this might not seem like a lot, especially with mid-range phones in 2025 boasting 6,000mAh batteries, it still offers a decent performance.

Disappointing Battery for iPhone 17 Air

However, the latest news regarding Apple’s iPhone 17 Air may not be encouraging. A report from Naver, referencing insiders from Apple’s supply chain, reveals that the iPhone 17 Air will measure only 5.5mm in thickness. This impressive slimness aligns perfectly with its “Air” designation, but there’s a downside: it may only include a 2,800mAh battery.

When you compare that to the original Galaxy Z Flip from five years ago, which had a 3,300mAh battery, the iPhone 17 Air’s capacity seems quite limited. In contrast, Samsung has successfully integrated a robust 3,900mAh battery into its ultra-thin Galaxy S25 Edge.

Features of the iPhone 17 Air

On a brighter note, there’s some promising information. The leak indicates that Apple might utilize high-density battery technology, potentially boosting the capacity by 15 to 20 percent. This could improve battery life, but we will need to see real-world performance to truly assess it. Additionally, the iPhone 17 Air is projected to weigh a mere 145 grams, making it one of the lightest options available.

In terms of display, the iPhone 17 Air will offer a 6.6-inch screen complete with Dynamic Island and a Camera Control button. Apple is also likely to standardize a 120Hz refresh rate across all iPhone 17 models. The device is expected to be powered by an A19 chip, feature WiFi 7, and come with a sturdier display glass.

    Pricing and Release Timeline

The iPhone 17 Air is anticipated to be priced lower than the iPhone 17 Pro, which begins at $999. The entire iPhone 17 series, which includes the Air, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max, is expected to hit the market in September or October of 2025.

    2. The brand made its official return to India in August 2023 through a licensing agreement and launched the Honor 90 in September 2023.
    3. Recent rumors suggested Honor might exit India, but the company clarified it is committed to the Indian market and plans to launch four new smartphones soon.
    4. Madhav Sheth is involved with both Honor and Alcatel, and he is working on launching new phones under the “NxtQuantum” brand.
    5. Honor India emphasizes its dedication to the Indian market and its intention to continue investing in innovation and product development.

Honor has hinted at the upcoming launch of the Honor X9b phone in India since February, but it hasn’t been officially released yet. The latest teaser for the device was shared on March 12, and there have been no new updates from the ExploreHonor X account since April 22. This situation, combined with a message that appeared to come from the Explore Honor Team Admin, suggested that the brand might have stopped its operations in India. Nevertheless, a recent announcement from Honor India indicates that the company is still active and plans to introduce new phones shortly.

    Four New Phones Coming Soon

To jog your memory, Honor launched the Honor 9A and 9S in July 2020, and since then, it has not released any new phones in India. However, the brand didn’t completely disappear from the Indian market as it continued to offer other products, such as wearables and tablets. In August 2023, Honor made its official return to India as Honor Tech India (Explore Honor) through a licensing agreement with PSAV Global, led by CEO Madhav Sheth. After re-entering the market, the company introduced the Honor 90 in September 2023.

    New Developments in India

Recently, it seemed that the brand might once again be halting its operations in India. Madhav Sheth is now also linked with Alcatel and is the founder and CEO of NxtQuantum Shift Technologies, where he intends to launch new phones under the “NxtQuantum” brand. On April 8, he tweeted about meeting with the Honor Team to discuss new strategies and the future, later stating that “Honor has received approvals for launching five products in India.”

    Clarifying the Rumors

Despite earlier rumors suggesting that Honor was exiting India, a recent post on X clarified that “Honor’s isn’t going anywhere or merging with any other brand.” To counter these claims, CP Khandelwal, the Brand Custodian for Honor India, shared a message stating: “WE’VE NOTICED SOME FALSE CLAIMS CIRCULATING ONLINE ABOUT HONOR EXITING INDIA. LET’S SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT – ‘HONOR INDIA IS HERE — AND THRIVING.’”

In this message, Khandelwal confirmed that the brand is fully dedicated to the Indian market, dismissing the recent rumors of a possible exit. He also mentioned that Honor is gearing up to launch four new smartphones soon. Honor reiterated that India is a vital market for its global growth, with continuous investments in innovation and product development. The company is actively engaged in India and aims to enhance its presence, reaffirming its commitment to grow alongside Indian consumers while providing advanced technology.
