    5. System Requirements and Pricing: The game is priced at $39.99 on Steam, with manageable system requirements for 1080p gameplay, and is compatible with the Steam Deck.

A decade after its first appearance, one of the more obscure Gundam action RPGs is making a comeback – this time beyond Japan. Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Battle Destiny Remastered has launched on Steam and Nintendo Switch (curr. $299 on Amazon), allowing PC gamers to enjoy a title that was previously restricted to the PlayStation Vita and only available in Japanese.

    Development and Localization

Initially created by Artdink and debuted in 2012, the game was never localized for the western audience – until now. This remaster is brought to you by B.B. Studio and Bandai Namco, featuring improved visuals, user interface changes, and complete English language support. Bandai has been working to bring more Gundam titles to contemporary platforms following the success of recent remasters and collections.

    Gameplay Experience

The story unfolds during the timelines of Mobile Suit Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny, allowing players to choose a faction – Earth Alliance, ZAFT, or the Archangel group – and engage in battles alongside important pilots from the series. Combat occurs in real-time, incorporating third-person shooting, melee combat, and customizable Mobile Suits.

    New Features

Amongst the new features in the remastered version are enhanced character models, redrawn backgrounds, and a revamped HUD that aligns with today’s display resolutions. The game also accommodates various control schemes and includes adjustments to the lock-on system, which should make it feel more like modern Gundam console games.

    System Requirements and Pricing

Steam’s system requirements are quite manageable – an Intel Core i3 with 4 GB of RAM and a GTX 950 can achieve 1080p at 60fps on low settings. For those seeking a better experience, a GPU with 4 GB of VRAM, like the GTX 1650 Super, is suggested for consistent high performance.

Upon launch, the game is available for $39.99 on Steam, and while there’s no initial discount, prices may differ by region. Currently, there’s no information regarding future updates or downloadable content.

For Gundam enthusiasts who overlooked this title during its initial release, this remaster should be a delightful addition – and more accessible than before. Steam Deck users will be pleased to learn that the game is also compatible with that platform.

Players have the freedom to explore, gather resources, and engage in dynamic missions. Your choices significantly affect the storyline, resulting in various possible endings. According to HowLongToBeat, the game offers an extensive amount of content, with those aiming to thoroughly explore the Zone and complete all side quests potentially spending up to 130 hours playing.

    Tales of Kenzera: Zau Overview

Tales of Kenzera: Zau is a Metroidvania that fuses fast-paced action with an emotionally charged narrative. You assume the role of Zau, a young shaman who embarks on a spiritual quest through the enchanting realm of Kenzera following his father’s death. With the guidance of two spirit masks that bestow unique abilities, Zau must face trials and confront the three major spirits of death in his mission to revive his father.

    Gameplay and Visuals

Ayaneo Flip 1S DS Handheld Gaming Device with AMD Ryzen 9 HX 370

    Key Takeaways

    1. The Ayaneo Flip 1S is a dual-screen device featuring an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor.
    2. The Flip 1S DS will likely have a larger second screen, possibly returning to the 3.92-inch AMOLED display.
    3. The control layout has been updated with smaller joystick caps and a redesigned d-pad.
    4. The ABXY buttons have more travel, being set deeper into the casing compared to the previous model.
    5. Release date and pricing details for the Flip 1S DS are still unknown.

Ayaneo has revealed more about the Flip 1S, after previously concentrating on its design features. The company continues to label the Flip 1S simply as a dual-screen device. Nonetheless, there’s a chance Ayaneo may have developed a follow-up to the Flip KB as well.

    Hardware Specifications

Ayaneo has now announced that the Flip 1S DS will come equipped with the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, which is a Strix Point APU featuring 12 Zen 5 CPU cores and a Radeon 890M integrated GPU. This processor is quickly gaining traction among gaming handheld makers, and it’s already used in compact devices such as the OneXFly F1 Pro (currently priced at $1,439 on Amazon) and the Ayaneo 3 that was released earlier this year.

    Display Enhancements

In addition, Ayaneo has suggested that the Flip 1S DS will have a larger second screen compared to the previous model. Right now, the exact specs are still under wraps. However, we wouldn’t be shocked to see the return of the 3.92-inch AMOLED display that was featured in the Pocket DMG.

    Control Layout

Also, Ayaneo has cleverly concealed the control setup of the Flip 1S DS. After some brightening, it looks like the Flip 1S DS has smaller joystick caps than its earlier version, and the d-pad has been redesigned. The ABXY buttons on the handheld have more travel this time since they are now set deeper into the bottom casing. Unfortunately, it’s still unclear when the Flip 1S DS will be available for purchase, or how much it will cost.

  • Free New Game of Thrones RPG Released Amid Criticism

Free New Game of Thrones RPG Released Amid Criticism

    Key Takeaways

    1. Cooperative Gameplay and Immersive Environment: Players can create heroes and explore iconic locations like Winterfell and King’s Landing, enjoying an engaging narrative within the Game of Thrones universe.

    2. Mixed Reception on Launch: Despite over 3,100 simultaneous players on launch day and ranking high on Steam’s “Trending Free” list, only 63% of over 1,100 user reviews are positive.

    3. Frustrating Monetization Strategy: The game features a harsh monetization system with energy mechanics and premium currencies, leading to player dissatisfaction and paywalls after limited gameplay.

    4. Structural and Design Issues: Kingsroad is criticized for its mobile-like structure, outdated graphics, limited character customization, and a co-op mode restricted to specific boss fights.

    5. Balancing Problems and Gameplay Experience: Players report unexpected difficulty spikes in the midgame, which disrupt progress and overall enjoyment, overshadowing the game’s potential appeal for fans.

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is a cooperative action RPG filled with story elements, developed by Netmarble Neo. It was officially launched on May 21, 2025, after a two-month Early Access period. Right from the start, it appears to check all the boxes: gamers can create their own heroes, traverse well-known places like Winterfell and King’s Landing, and engage in a new narrative within the beloved Game of Thrones realm. Praise has been given for its immersive environment, captivating soundtrack, and a combat system that includes block and dodge features. Many reviews commend the thrilling quests and abundant content as highlights.

    Mixed Reception

At launch, the initial excitement was evident—SteamDB recorded a peak of over 3,100 simultaneous players on day one. It has also secured the leading position in Steam’s “Trending Free” list. Nevertheless, user reviews paint a different picture. Out of more than 1,100 reviews submitted, only 63% are favorable. The main criticism concerns monetization. However, this isn’t the sole concern players are voicing.

    Frustrations with Monetization

A key source of annoyance is the game’s harsh monetization strategy. An intricate system that involves energy mechanics, various premium currencies, and paid access to dungeons complicates progress without spending real money. Even players who bought starter packs claim they encounter a paywall after approximately 30 hours of gameplay.

    Structural Issues

In terms of structure, Kingsroad fails to meet the expectations of many PC gamers. As noted by one reviewer on Steam, the game resembles “a mobile game on steroids,” featuring UI designs, reward cycles, and progression systems that appear more fitting for smartphones than a comprehensive PC game. Additionally, the much-touted co-op mode is restricted to specific boss fights—players cannot explore the open world together.

On a technical level, the game reveals its shortcomings. The graphics appear outdated, character customization options are limited, and numerous NPCs look almost the same—resulting in a lack of depth in the RPG elements. Balancing issues also arise, with users reporting unexpected spikes in difficulty during the midgame, which hinder progress and disrupt the overall gameplay experience.

In spite of its numerous shortcomings, Kingsroad does manage to evoke the genuine Game of Thrones ambiance—potentially making it worth a look for devoted fans of the franchise. Since the game is free to play, there’s little financial risk involved in trying it out. However, for most players, the downsides—ranging from aggressive monetization to design and technical flaws—are likely to overshadow the benefits.

  • Battlefield 6 Reveals New Class System: Fans Share Mixed Reactions

Battlefield 6 Reveals New Class System: Fans Share Mixed Reactions

    Key Takeaways

    1. The Battlefield series traditionally used a class-based system with four main roles: Assault, Engineer, Medic, and Recon, each with specific weapons and functions.
    2. The removal of this conventional class system in Battlefield 2042 sparked significant debate among players, many of whom want a return to the classic format for clearer roles and better team dynamics.
    3. The planned class system for Battlefield 6 aims to blend traditional roles with modern flexibility, allowing all classes access to a wide range of weapons, while retaining class-specific bonuses and features.
    4. Community concerns include the fear that full weapon access for all classes may weaken the game’s identity and reduce teamwork, with some players advocating for stricter weapon limitations as seen in earlier titles.
    5. The new class system will undergo testing soon, and EA’s ability to regain player trust with Battlefield 6 remains uncertain, with an official reveal expected this summer and a launch by March 2026.

Before the new “specialists” were introduced, the Battlefield series utilized a traditional role-based framework centered around four primary classes: Assault, Engineer, Medic, and Recon. Each class had its own distinct role and was limited to certain types of weapons. For instance, Assault soldiers were equipped with medkits to heal their teammates and utilized versatile assault rifles for combat up front. In contrast, players in the Recon class concentrated on identifying enemies from afar and eliminating them with sniper rifles.

Changes in Class System Spark Debate

The decision to eliminate the conventional class system was met with much controversy when Battlefield 2042 was released. Since that time, numerous players have expressed a desire for a return to the classic class format, believing it would restore clearer roles and enhance team dynamics in Battlefield 6. On May 21, EA shared the first insights regarding the revamped classes on X – here’s a brief summary:

    Merging Tradition with Flexibility

With the planned class system for Battlefield 6, the developers intend to combine the series’ traditional role-based concept with the loadout flexibility found in modern shooters. Every class will have access to a comprehensive selection of weapons, but class-specific bonuses and unique “signature” features will be important as well.

The system also includes two customizable gadget slots for each class, class-specific throwables, and traits that unlock progressively to provide additional benefits. To assist new players in getting accustomed to the game, each class will be provided with preset loadouts.

    Community Reactions and Concerns

Many players expressed criticism in the comments on X. A frequent worry is that granting full weapon access to all classes could dilute the game’s identity and diminish team cooperation. Fans contend that restrictions based on class are essential for preserving distinct roles in battle. This new system has been likened to the unpopular loadout setup of Battlefield 2042, with many advocating for a return to the stricter weapon limitations characteristic of Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4. As one dissatisfied player commented: “After two let-downs, I’m done if it remains like this.”

The new class system is set for thorough testing in the upcoming weeks within the Battlefield Labs test environment. Additionally, a server performance test is scheduled between May 23 and 26. Invitations will be distributed via email through the EA Playtesting program, and interested players can sign up here to join. Whether EA and DICE will win back the community’s trust with Battlefield 6 is still uncertain. The official reveal event is on the agenda for this summer, and according to EA’s most recent financial report, the game is expected to launch by March 2026 at the latest.

  • RTX 5080 Super Leaks: Up to 25% TDP Increase Over RTX 5080

RTX 5080 Super Leaks: Up to 25% TDP Increase Over RTX 5080

    Key Takeaways

    1. The RTX 5080 Super has increased VRAM and a higher TDP compared to the standard RTX 5080.
    2. The confirmed TDP for the RTX 5080 Super is 420 W, up from 360 W for the RTX 5080.
    3. Nvidia may raise the TDP to 450 W if necessary to improve performance without adding more CUDA cores.
    4. The performance boost of the RTX 5080 compared to the RTX 4080 is only about 20%, indicating limited enhancements in the RTX 50 series so far.
    5. The RTX 5080 Super is highly anticipated, potentially leading to more choices and favorable price changes in the GPU market.

A few days ago, the well-known leaker Kopite7kimi shared information about the RTX 5080 Super, which we quickly reported on. The leaked details show that the RTX 5080 Super is mostly similar to the standard RTX 5080, but it has two main differences: increased VRAM and a higher power consumption. Recently, Moore’s Law Is Dead has disclosed that the TDP (Thermal Design Power) for the RTX 5080 Super is significantly higher.

    Increased TDP Details

Moore’s Law Is Dead has confirmed the specifications shared by Kopite7kimi and stated that the RTX 5080 Super may have a TDP of 420 W or more. An AIB (Add-In Board) source reportedly informed MLID that Nvidia plans to release the RTX 5080 Super with this new power rating.

The point about TDP is quite intriguing, as Kopite previously indicated that the RTX 5080 Super would require over 400 W, but did not specify an exact number. The TDP of 420 W mentioned by MLID is a notable rise compared to the RTX 5080, which has a TDP of 360 W.

    Possible Future Power Increases

Moreover, the AIB source also mentioned that Nvidia has “warned” that the TDP for the RTX 5080 Super might be raised to 450 W “if they think it’s necessary.” Without an increase in CUDA cores, Nvidia’s main strategy to boost the performance of the RTX 5080 Super is to provide more power to the existing 10,752 CUDA cores, allowing them to operate at higher clock speeds. Thus, it makes sense that if 420 W doesn’t yield a significant performance improvement, they could push the limits to 450 W.

So far, the RTX 50 series GPUs, with the exception of the RTX 5090, haven’t shown any remarkable performance enhancements over the RTX 40 series. For instance, the RTX 5080 only offers about a 20% performance boost compared to the RTX 4080. This suggests that Nvidia might be aiming to create a noticeable performance gap between the RTX 5080 and the RTX 5080 Super by implementing a higher TDP.

Anticipation for the RTX 5080 Super

Regardless of the final specifications, the RTX 5080 Super is highly anticipated, especially since new GPU launches in the current market tend to provide more choices, which can lead to favorable price changes.

    4. A co-op multiplayer mode called “League” is set to launch in 2026 and will include different characters and story arcs.
    5. Ubisoft’s roadmap for Assassin’s Creed Shadows includes free updates with new missions and gameplay enhancements, alongside the standalone game Invictus, which may support up to 18 players.

Buyers who pre-ordered Assassin’s Creed Shadows have also secured the first DLC for the game. Now, there’s a clearer timeframe for when Claws of Awaji will be released. Tom Henderson from Insider Gaming has shared that the update might come as early as September 2025. Additionally, fans have learned more about a co-op multiplayer mode that’s set to launch in 2026.

    Details on Claws of Awaji

Ubisoft has already shared some info about Claws of Awaji, which is expected to add around 10 hours of gameplay. The new missions will be set on the island of Awaji, where Naoe and Yasuke will face off against the hidden Sanzoku Ippa faction. Players will be able to find new skills, equipment, and weapons while they search for treasure. Right now, the DLC can’t be bought separately, but it’s likely that this will change as the release date gets closer.

    Financial Update from Ubisoft

Recently, Ubisoft published its latest financial report, revealing a net loss of $178 million. As the company adjusts its release schedule, it plans to push back several titles, including Far Cry 7. Nonetheless, Henderson doesn’t think these delays will affect the new Assassin’s Creed Shadows DLC. The worst-case scenario might be that the content is delayed until October.

    Future Plans for Assassin’s Creed

Insider Gaming also provided insight into Ubisoft’s other plans for the game. The anticipated co-op multiplayer mode, referred to as “League,” is still on track for 2026. While Naoe and Yasuke seem like a natural pairing, this mode will include different characters and story arcs. For players desiring a more chaotic gaming experience, the standalone Invictus is still in the works. Invictus may offer a gameplay style similar to Fall Guys, accommodating up to 18 players.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows has proven to be a much-needed hit for Ubisoft. In addition to the Claws of Awaji DLC, Ubisoft’s roadmap for the game includes free updates featuring new missions and various gameplay enhancements.
