    2. It features Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and USB-C wired options, making it compatible with various devices like iOS, Android, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
    3. The controller comes in multiple stylish designs, including retro and pastel options, and boasts a battery life of 20 hours for extended gaming sessions.
    4. While the shoulder buttons are responsive and user-friendly, the membrane-based face buttons may require more pressure, potentially leading to hand fatigue during long gaming sessions.
    5. The Fantech EOS Mini includes unique features like acting as a camera shutter for smartphones and the ability to use the D-Pad as a joystick, enhancing its versatility for gamers.

These days, video game controllers can really put a dent in your wallet, like the PlayStation DualSense Edge, the Xbox Elite Series 2, or even the Scuf and Evil controllers. But there’s a new trend of compact controllers that are both affordable and easy to hold. Enter the Fantech EOS Mini, which is priced at just $13.

    Features Galore

Despite its small size, the Fantech EOS Mini is loaded with features. Weighing in at only 30 grams, it offers Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and a USB-C wired option. Plus, it works with a variety of devices including iOS, Android, PC, and the Nintendo Switch. This makes it a versatile choice for gamers who need something portable.

    Stylish Options

You can pick the Fantech EOS Mini in a range of designs. Additionally, it boasts an impressive battery life of 20 hours for extended playtime.

The Fantech EOS Mini is considered one of the most user-friendly mini-controllers available. The shoulder buttons are responsive and require minimal force to press, which makes them far superior to many alternatives.

    Button Concerns

On the flip side, the face buttons are membrane-based, which means they are quiet and lack tactile feedback. Some users have mentioned that they need a bit of pressure to activate, potentially causing hand fatigue during long gaming sessions. However, they are still functional in low-light settings and suitable for casual gamers.

The light pad of the Fantech EOS Mini has received positive feedback for its classic feel and smooth movement, allowing for accurate diagonal control. It also has some neat extra features, like the ability to use it as a camera shutter when connected wirelessly to your smartphone. If you want to use multiple units, the D-Pad can serve as a left joystick, which opens up more gaming possibilities.

In summary, gamers who have tried the Fantech EOS Mini generally agree that it performs well in its category, especially for those who are okay with buttons that don’t provide tactile feedback and prefer a simple user experience. The mini-controller market is expanding, with other options like the 8BitDo Micro, IINE Retro, and CRKD Atom all available for under $30.

RedMagic has just unveiled the 11 Pro series, introducing a unique design to the gaming smartphone sector. These devices come equipped with liquid cooling systems. While this feature is mostly for show, it does help the phones stand apart from the competition.

    Pricing and Performance

The RedMagic 11 Pro series is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and its pricing is comparable to other high-end flagship phones available today. For those who prefer a more budget-friendly choice, a representative from the company has indicated that the 11 Air will be released soon.

    Upcoming Features

In detail, the performance of the Snapdragon 8 Elite is rather similar to that of the latest non-Elite Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. • Yu-Gi-Oh! Joins Dragon Ball FighterZ: Playable Characters Now Available

Yu-Gi-Oh! Joins Dragon Ball FighterZ: Playable Characters Now Available

    Key Takeaways

    1. Yami Yugi has been added as a character mod in Dragon Ball FighterZ, featuring summonable monsters and Japanese voice-overs with subtitles.
    2. The mod allows players to control both Yami Yugi and his companion, Dark Magician, as a “puppet character.”
    3. The mod showcases impressive craftsmanship, comparable to official adaptations in other fighting games.
    4. It incorporates unique mechanics that reflect the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime and trading card game, appealing to fans of both franchises.
    5. The mod is a perfect gift for fans of Dragon Ball, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and 90s/early 2000s anime series.

As a long-time PC gamer, it’s rare for me to come across a modification that makes me stop and stare, but this fully-custom Yu-Gi-Oh! character mod for Dragon Ball FighterZ is an exception. It presents one of the most impressive and faithful adaptations of a character for a fighting game that I’ve ever witnessed. The craftsmanship here is comparable to what the original developers, Arc System Works, did when they added Lucy from Cyberpunk Edgerunners into Guilty Gear Strive, and it stands up well against both official and fan-made characters in Super Smash Bros.

    Yami Yugi’s Arrival

Yami Yugi has been introduced into Dragon Ball FighterZ, complete with a lineup of summonable monsters and Japanese voice-overs with subtitles. His loyal companion from the anime, Dark Magician, acts as a “puppet character,” which means you can control both characters at once (similar to Ice Climbers in Smash Bros. or Zato in Guilty Gear). After all, Yugi can’t exactly go toe-to-toe with powerful foes like Cell or Frieza. While other monsters can also be called to the battle, Dark Magician will undoubtedly take center stage during your fights.

    A Mod for the Fans

The remarkable detail in this mod, including unique mechanics that stay true to both the anime and trading card game, is why I felt compelled to highlight it on this Christmas morning. For devoted fans of Dragon Ball, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and other iconic anime series from the 90s and early 2000s, it’s hard to think of a better present than a well-crafted way for Dark Magician and Perfect Cell to battle it out.

    A Few Important Notes

There are really just three things to keep in mind:

Anyway, Merry Christmas to all Yu-Gi-Oh! enthusiasts playing Dragon Ball FighterZ. I know you’re out there, as you frequent too many card shop tournaments to remain unnoticed!

Ninja Gaiden Shadow DX: Colorful Game Boy Adventure Coming in 2025

    Key Takeaways

    1. Homebrew developer Marc Max is creating an unofficial upgrade called “DX” for Ninja Gaiden Shadow, adding color and revitalizing the original monochrome game.
    2. Max has shared a colorized title screen and teaser trailers, generating excitement among fans, with a possible release by the end of 2025.
    3. The “year of the ninja” continues, following the recent launch of Ninja Gaiden 4, despite some storytelling shortcomings.
    4. Marc Max has prior experience with DX upgrades, having enhanced games like Mole Mania and Mega Man 4, and others are also working on similar projects.
    5. Ninja Gaiden Shadow, originally released in 1991 for the Game Boy, serves as a prequel to the NES Ninja Gaiden Trilogy, with a history of development changes.

Retro gamers who are still enjoying Game Boy games on the FPGA-based Analogue Pocket or sticking with the classic Game Boy Color have some exciting news ahead. Homebrew developer Marc Max, known online as marc_robledo, is creating an unofficial upgrade for Ninja Gaiden Shadow, called “DX.” This project aims to revitalize the original monochrome game by adding color, much like the official DX releases that Nintendo introduced years ago.

    Exciting Announcements from Marc Max

Marc Max shared his news online, generating excitement among fans by revealing a colorized title screen, which serves as the first glimpse of the upcoming Ninja Gaiden Shadow DX. He also provided a teaser trailer exclusively for his Patreon supporters, which added more anticipation for the project.

    Year of the Ninja Continues

Additionally, Marc hinted that “the year of the ninja isn’t over yet.” Recently, we saw the return of Ninja Gaiden 4, featuring dual protagonists and some intense button-mashing action, although it didn’t quite deliver in terms of storytelling and the split-screen experience with Yakuma and Ryu.

Rumors suggest that his cryptic comments imply the Ninja Gaiden Shadow DX upgrade may be released by the end of 2025. Following this, he shared another teaser trailer, suggesting that the project is close to being finished.

    Previous Projects and Developments

Marc Max has a history of rolling out DX upgrades and is familiar with such enhancements. He has previously given the DX treatment to titles like Mole Mania and Mega Man 4, adding color to these black-and-white games, along with smoother performance tweaks and improvements to make them feel more modern on today’s hardware or emulators.

He isn’t the only one working on Game Boy DX upgrades. Brand Newman, for example, has recently released a Tiny Toons Adventures DX upgrade, which carefully colored the black-and-white sprites and backgrounds from Tiny Toons: Bab’s Big Break.

    Ninja Gaiden Shadow’s Background

Ninja Gaiden Shadow made its debut in 1991 for the Game Boy and was developed by Natsume with support from publisher Tecmo. The game acts as a prequel to the NES Ninja Gaiden Trilogy, telling the story of Ryu Hayabusa facing challenging enemies and navigating platforming sections.

Interestingly, a 1991 issue of Nintendo Power revealed that Ninja Gaiden Shadow was originally intended to be a handheld adaptation of the NES game Shadow of Ninja before it was reworked to fit into the Ninja Gaiden series.

As for the release of Marc Max’s Ninja Gaiden Shadow DX upgrade, while an exact date hasn’t been set, recent previews suggest that gamers can expect the game to arrive relatively soon.

  • 1996 Sega Saturn JRPG Airs Adventure Now Playable in English

1996 Sega Saturn JRPG Airs Adventure Now Playable in English

    Key Takeaways

    1. Airs Adventure, a Japanese RPG from 1996 on the Sega Saturn, has received an English fan translation, making it accessible to a global audience after nearly thirty years.
    2. The game features a whimsical storyline where players control a hero on humorous quests, including interactions with a princess and classic turn-based combat.
    3. The English translation was completed by a hacker named Hitomi2500 and a dedicated fan team, with the full patch released in late 2025.
    4. The Sega Saturn fan community has embraced the game, referring to it as an amusing and unique title that was previously exclusive to Japan.
    5. While Airs Adventure is not considered a masterpiece, it offers basic 3D graphics and standard RPG mechanics, appealing to fans of the genre seeking an entry-level experience.

This holiday season is shaping up to be especially thrilling, as various unique Japanese retro games have been treated to fan translations through English patches. Among these titles is a Japanese RPG that debuted on the Sega Saturn in 1996, known as Airs Adventure.

With the release of its English patch, Sega Saturn enthusiasts now have a reason to revive their consoles and experience Airs Adventure, which has finally reached a worldwide audience after almost thirty years.

    Development and Storyline

Airs Adventure was brought to life in 1996 through a teamwork between Toys Press and May Music. The game casts you as a playful hero navigating a whimsical tale. Along the way, he encounters a lovely princess, leading to a series of amusing quests filled with humor and classic turn-based combat.

Despite the Sega Saturn lacking many highly praised RPGs compared to its competitor, the Sony PlayStation, titles like Airs Adventure remained confined to Japan due to language issues, especially with the Saturn’s poor reception in Western markets.

    The Translation Journey

One might wonder how Airs Adventure managed to get an English translation after so long. The credit goes to a Saturn hacker named Hitomi2500, along with a dedicated group of fans who took it upon themselves to translate the game in early 2025.

Progress on the English patch for Airs Adventure was rapid, with the team revealing a work-in-progress version back in March 2025. Now, as 2025 comes to a close, the full English patch for Airs Adventure has finally been released.

Community Response and Accessing the Game

Fan communities dedicated to the Sega Saturn have celebrated the English version of Airs Adventure, dubbing it “an ‘it’s so bad it’s good’ Sega Saturn exclusive to Japan,” which is now accessible to English-speaking gamers.

Players eager to dive into Airs Adventure can obtain a copy of the game, extract their ROMs, and apply the English patch to their original versions via platforms like Romhack.ing.

Although Airs Adventure isn’t hailed as a masterpiece, reviews from its initial release and later retrospectives indicate that the game features basic 3D graphics and standard turn-based RPG mechanics. It was described as a “fairly decent grind for those who enjoy the genre and are seeking an entry-level experience.”

  • New Trending Free MMORPG on Steam with Offline Progression

New Trending Free MMORPG on Steam with Offline Progression

    Key Takeaways

    1. Idle Progression: IdleOn allows characters to level up and gather resources even when the player is offline, focusing on idle gameplay.

    2. Character Management: Players can create and manage multiple characters with various classes and skills, enhancing overall progression through a personal guild system.

    3. Complex Gameplay Systems: The game features a variety of systems, including crafting, gathering, and mini-games, making it a rich sandbox experience.

    4. Accessible MMO Features: While it includes MMO elements like towns and guilds, the main gameplay is more isolated, emphasizing long-term account development.

    5. Community Engagement: Players appreciate the game’s depth and frequent updates, though some criticize the learning curve and interface complexity.

IdleOn, also known as Legends of Idleon: Idle MMO on Steam, is a free-to-play MMORPG developed by a single person. It’s all about idle progression, managing multiple characters, and a humorous twist instead of aiming for high-budget visuals. This game is often called “the MMO you play while playing other games,” and its design reflects this: your characters keep looting and leveling up whether you’re logged in or not.

    Game Mechanics

IdleOn is a 2D pixel-art idle MMORPG where you, the player, can create a growing list of characters that operate simultaneously. These characters hunt monsters, gather materials, and craft items even when you’re offline. Over time, they spread across various maps and systems, forming a personal guild whose collective efforts enhance your overall progression, rather than focusing on just one “main” character.

    Classes and Systems

The game includes over a dozen basic and advanced classes, ranging from classic warriors, archers, and mages to more unique options that focus on economy or automation. Each class comes with its own talent tree and attack styles. There’s a complex network of additional systems surrounding them, including skills like mining, smithing, alchemy, fishing, and cooking. Players also engage with post-office orders, stamps, statues, obols, tower defense, pet battles, and factory-style automation. These features turn what may seem like a simple idle game into a rich sandbox for optimizing gameplay.

    MMO Features and Accessibility

IdleOn’s MMO aspect is less intense than traditional large-shard RPGs: players share towns and open-world areas, can chat, join guilds, and compete on mini-game or boss leaderboards. However, the main combat and resource gathering are essentially isolated to your account. This setup emphasizes long-term account development instead of coordinating raid schedules.

On Steam, IdleOn is completely free to play with no initial purchase required. Players can support the game through cosmetic and convenience microtransactions, such as additional character slots, account boosts, and skins. You can use the same account on both PC and mobile versions, and the solo developer has committed to a strict no-ads and anti-pay-to-win policy in the store’s description.

    Community Feedback

According to community feedback, the depth of gameplay, regular updates, and ample free content are the standout features of IdleOn. Some common criticisms include a steep learning curve, cluttered user interface, and a grindy experience that can arise when managing multiple characters. The game initially had an early access phase, but even after its official launch in early November, reviews have remained largely positive.

  • Cyberpunk 2077 Sequel Delay: CD Projekt Red Focuses on Multiplayer

Cyberpunk 2077 Sequel Delay: CD Projekt Red Focuses on Multiplayer

    Key Takeaways

    1. Development of the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel is accelerating, with a planned release in Q4 2030 to mark the original game’s tenth anniversary.
    2. CD Projekt Red has 135 employees on the project, with plans to double the workforce as funding increases.
    3. The inclusion of a multiplayer mode is extending the production timeline beyond initial expectations.
    4. Despite the focus on multiplayer, the sequel is expected to have a strong single-player narrative and improved AI for NPCs and enemies.
    5. Keanu Reeves is likely to return as Johnny Silverhand, maintaining continuity with the original game.

Development of the highly awaited sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 has picked up speed earlier in 2025. With many AAA titles often taking longer to create, the latest buzz about its release date might not come as a shock. However, the game could launch earlier if CD Projekt Red wasn’t focusing so heavily on a multiplayer component.

    Insight from Investment Analysts

A recent update from Noble Securities, a Polish investment firm, sheds some light on the project. According to a translation shared on Reddit, the studio currently has 135 people dedicated to the game. This workforce is expected to double in the next couple of years as the financial backing increases.

    Production Timeline and Expectations

The report also states, “The interest in incorporating a multiplayer mode into the production led us to extend the production timeline beyond what was initially expected from the progress of work on the benchmark W4.” CD Projekt Red is reportedly aiming for a release date in Q4 2030 for the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel. This timeline would align with the tenth anniversary of the original game, which became a classic open-world action RPG.

The studio had earlier cautioned gamers that the game might not be ready until 2030-31. Fans are now debating whether having day-one multiplayer is worth the additional wait. After a rocky launch, Cyberpunk 2077 redeemed itself as a captivating single-player experience. However, mods like CyberMP that introduce PvP elements have gained popularity among players as unofficial downloads.

    CD Projekt Red’s Multiplayer Aspirations

Known for its narrative-driven single-player games, such as The Witcher 3, CD Projekt Red has yet to successfully create a multiplayer experience like Rockstar Games did with GTA Online. Notably, the studio had considered multiplayer features for the original game before ultimately abandoning the idea. This time, the potential for increased revenue through microtransactions may be too tempting to overlook.

Traditional Cyberpunk fans need not worry, as the sequel is expected to deliver a rich storyline along with enhanced NPCs and enemy AI. Additionally, Keanu Reeves has expressed his eagerness to reprise his role as Johnny Silverhand.
