    Yami Yugi has been introduced into Dragon Ball FighterZ, complete with a lineup of summonable monsters and Japanese voice-overs with subtitles. His loyal companion from the anime, Dark Magician, acts as a “puppet character,” which means you can control both characters at once (similar to Ice Climbers in Smash Bros. or Zato in Guilty Gear). After all, Yugi can’t exactly go toe-to-toe with powerful foes like Cell or Frieza. While other monsters can also be called to the battle, Dark Magician will undoubtedly take center stage during your fights.

    A Mod for the Fans

    The remarkable detail in this mod, including unique mechanics that stay true to both the anime and trading card game, is why I felt compelled to highlight it on this Christmas morning. For devoted fans of Dragon Ball, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and other iconic anime series from the 90s and early 2000s, it’s hard to think of a better present than a well-crafted way for Dark Magician and Perfect Cell to battle it out.
