The laptop features the AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS SoC and offers graphics options up to the RTX 4060. Colorful Colorfire showcased the MEOW R15 and MEOW R16 models at Computex 2024.

    The MEOW R15 sports a 15.6-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and a 165Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the MEOW R16 boasts a 16-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a 240Hz refresh rate. Both models cover 100% of the sRGB color space and have a cat-themed design with subtle orange accents.

    The international versions of the MEOW gaming laptops do not include the Ryzen 7 7735H processor that was part of the Chinese variant. The Ryzen 7 7735H is exclusive to the Chinese market, while the more powerful Ryzen 7 8845HS is available internationally. This premium processor from the Hawk Point family can be paired with up to an RTX 4070 running at 140W TGP.

    Performance

    These gaming laptops are designed to handle processor-intensive games seamlessly, providing stable performance even under heavy loads. They feature an efficient cooling system with a 6-heatpipe setup and dual turbo fans. Users can adjust the performance settings to meet their individual needs through a software application. However, the company has yet to announce the availability and pricing details for these laptops.

    DELL recently introduced five laptops powered by Snapdragon processors, including the XPS 13 (9345), Inspiron 14, Inspiron 14 Plus, Latitude 7455, and Latitude 5455. Thanks to the Snapdragon chip, the XPS 13 has seen a significant improvement in battery life compared to its Intel-powered counterpart.

    During the Computex keynote, Qualcomm’s CEO Cristiano Amon invited Dell’s senior executive Sam Burd to discuss the impact of integrating the Snapdragon X Elite chip. According to Burd, the new Snapdragon-powered XPS 13 now offers "multi-day battery life."

    The Efficiency of Snapdragon-Powered Laptops

    Burd highlighted that the laptop can achieve 27 hours of video streaming on a single charge, which is 9 hours more than the Intel version.

    The XPS 13 with Intel’s Meteor Lake series Core Ultra 7 155H CPU features the same 55Wh battery as the Snapdragon X Elite, X1E-80-100 version. The Snapdragon variant is evidently more power-efficient, maintaining the same 13.4-inch FHD+ display with 500 nits peak brightness. It also includes the same 60W Type-C adapter for charging as the Intel model.
