In the most recent edition of China's "Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturer and Product Announcements" catalog, an intriguing addition has captured the interest of car enthusiasts. The catalog introduces the new BYD Song PLUS DM-i model, which is part of the 383rd batch of announcements.
The latest iteration of the BYD Song PLUS DM-i model maintains its overall design with notable alterations to the rear details and a switch from the "BUILD YOUR DREAMS" logo to the "BYD" emblem. Despite these modifications, the vehicle retains its dimensions, measuring 4775mm in length, 1890mm in width, and 1670mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2765mm.
Engine and Power Updates
The new BYD Song PLUS DM-i model is now equipped with the "BYD472QC" engine while preserving its 1.5-liter plug-in hybrid configuration. However, the maximum power output of the engine has slightly decreased from 81 kilowatts to 74 kilowatts. On the other hand, the electric motor in the latest model demonstrates an increase in power, capable of delivering up to 160 kilowatts compared to the previous model's 145 kilowatts.
Pricing and Options
For potential buyers, the pricing structure remains competitive and varied, accommodating different preferences and requirements. The current Song PLUS DM-i Honor Edition, priced at 129,800 yuan, offers a selection of options including the 71km luxury model, 110km flagship model, 110km flagship PLUS, 150km flagship PLUS, and 150km flagship PLUS 5G, with prices ranging up to 169,800 yuan.
