Beats Solo 4 Wireless Headphones Launching Soon: Specifications Leaked

Almost eight years ago, Beats introduced the widely popular Solo3 on-ear headphones, which continue to be sought after today, albeit now available at a reduced price. Recent leaks from 9to5Mac indicate that Apple is preparing to unveil the Beats Solo4 as the successor to the Solo3.

Upgrades in Beats Solo4

The forthcoming Beats Solo4 is set to offer several enhancements compared to its predecessor. One notable improvement is a 10-hour increase in battery life, providing users with a total playback time of 50 hours. The inclusion of Fast Fuel technology enables up to 5 hours of wireless playback with only 10 minutes of charging. Notably, the Solo4 will feature a USB-C port for charging convenience.

Enhanced Features

Equipped with 40mm drivers, the headphones promise a significant enhancement in sound quality. The Solo4 will introduce dynamic 3D sound with head tracking, primarily optimized for Apple devices. While Google Fast Pair ensures compatibility with Android, certain features like device tracking will remain exclusive to Apple users.

Technical Specifications

Bluetooth 5.3 enables seamless connectivity, while a 3.5mm headphone jack offers lossless audio support. Improved call quality is expected due to beam-forming microphones utilizing voice-targeting algorithms for clear communication. The Solo4’s design emphasizes comfort, featuring lighter materials and softer ear pads, weighing approximately 217 grams. Additionally, its foldable design enhances portability. Despite these upgrades, the price point will remain consistent with the Solo3 at $199.99 in the US. The Beats Solo4 is anticipated to be unveiled on May 2.
