As previously mentioned, the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMGR is meant to take the place of the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMG, which was released in May 2024.
New Model Introduction
Now, Asus has put the similarly named ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDNG on its global website, complete with hardware specs and images of the device. Despite the close name, the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDNG is actually a successor to the 27-inch ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG that was launched over a year ago (currently priced at $729.99 on Amazon). As shown in the graphic below, the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDNG maintains the same 27-inch and 3rd Gen QD-OLED technology from the XG27ACDNG along with a native resolution of 1440p and a refresh rate of 360 Hz.
Technical Features
Furthermore, the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDNG boasts a 0.03 ms GtG response time, 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, and can achieve a peak HDR brightness of 1,000 nits. Interestingly, Asus has removed the 90 W USB Type-C port that was available in the ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG, without providing a substitute. Instead, the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDNG features a similar port selection that includes DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, and a three-port USB hub.
Additional Features
From what we know, the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDNG introduces Asus’ Neo Proximity sensor, which is designed to reduce OLED burn-in by enhancing presence detection. Additionally, the monitor is compatible with the OLED Care Pro technology suite, which is claimed to be an upgrade from Asus’ previous OLED Care Plus technologies. While we don’t have information about pricing and availability yet, more details regarding the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDNG can be found on Asus’ global website.
