LONDON – Ugreen has introduced its latest wallet tracker to the UK market, the FineTrack Slim Duo, arriving as a reworked model that breaks away from the earlier iteration released this year by putting dual-platform compatibility front and center.
The freshly launched tracker departs from a key trend in the segment: it does not offer wireless charging. Instead, Ugreen’s update focuses on a broader connectivity promise. In previous generations, the FineTrack Slim was sold in separate variants for iOS and Android ecosystems. The Slim Duo consolidates those paths, delivering native support for both Apple’s Find My network and Google’s Find Hub in a single device. The change means one tracker can now be reliably located by either an iPhone or an Android handset without requiring the buyer to commit to a specific platform at checkout.
A smaller footprint and louder alerts
The engineering overhaul extends well beyond cross-platform support. At just 1.9 mm thick, the card-shaped tracker is slimmer than its predecessors, yet Ugreen has managed to fit a significantly louder internal buzzer. The Slim Duo’s alarm is rated at up to 110 dB, a marked increase from 80 dB on the previous Google-specific model and 60 dB on the former Apple-only version. An IP68 dust and water resistance rating has also been added, promising full protection against submersion, which was absent from earlier FineTrack Slim releases.
Battery life and security extras
Powering the device is a larger battery that Ugreen estimates will last between five and seven years, removing the need for frequent recharging—a practical trade-off for the missing wireless charging coil. When used with an iPhone, the tracker supports left-behind alerts, a feature that notifies the owner if distance between the phone and the wallet grows. The Slim Duo also incorporates RFID shielding, designed to help guard contactless payment cards against unauthorized scanning, addressing a common concern for users who carry multiple cards alongside a location tracker.
