Thermaltake has introduced a new power supply design aimed at simplifying one of the more tedious aspects of building a PC: cable management. The Dockpower FI series separates the power supply into two distinct physical modules, allowing builders to connect all cables before installing the unit inside a chassis.
A Modular Docking System
The series is built around a detachable cable dock module. This module can be easily removed or secured using a D-ring screw, enabling users to plug the fully modular, low-profile cables into the dock in the open air, outside the tight confines of a PC case. Once all connections are made, the assembly can be mounted and linked to the main PSU body.
Simplified Upgrades Across Multiple Wattages
This architecture also streamlines future upgrades. Swapping to a higher-capacity power supply requires only replacing the main PSU component, leaving the existing cable dock and all its connected wiring undisturbed inside the case. The Dockpower FI line will be available in 750 W, 850 W, 1,000 W, and 1,200 W variants. All models carry an 80 PLUS Gold efficiency certification and comply with the ATX 3.1 standard, which includes support for PCIe Gen 5.1.
Availability and Aesthetic Options
Thermaltake will offer the series in a standard black finish as well as a Snow white colorway, accommodating builds with different aesthetic schemes. The company has not yet disclosed official pricing or a release date for the new power supplies.
