Samsung appears ready to introduce its next clamshell foldable with minimal hardware changes and a higher asking price, according to a newly surfaced retailer product sheet. The Galaxy Z Flip8 is projected to launch on July 22, 2026, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Watch9, and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2.

The only notable silicon shift

Months of leaks had already pointed to a restrained update, and the detailed listing now reinforces that picture. In European markets, the most meaningful revision is the move to an in-house Exynos 2600 chipset, succeeding the Exynos 2500 found in the current Galaxy Z Flip7. Early benchmark data points to a roughly 28 percent gain in CPU performance. Memory and storage configurations remain unchanged, with 12 GB of RAM paired with either 256 GB or 512 GB of internal flash storage. The device also sheds a modest amount of weight, dropping from 188 grams to 180 grams.

Cameras, screens, and battery stay put

On the imaging front, Samsung is reportedly carrying over the existing triple-camera arrangement without alterations. That means a 50 MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, a 12 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 10 MP selfie camera. The display package is likewise static: a 6.9-inch foldable 120 Hz OLED main panel and a 4.1-inch AMOLED cover screen. Power comes from the same 4,300 mAh battery capacity as the previous generation.

Pricing moves upward despite a static spec sheet

While the hardware blueprint looks familiar, the price tags are not. The base 256 GB model is listed at €1,299, representing a €100 increase over the Galaxy Z Flip7’s launch price. The 512 GB variant climbs more sharply to €1,499, an increase of €180. The unchanged component list suggests Samsung is betting on software refinements and its refreshed processor to justify the premium, even as the broader foldable segment faces growing competitive pressure.
