Recently, a well-known leakster from Weibo called Smart Pikachu spilled some early info about the next model, the OnePlus Ace 7. The rumor suggests that it might run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a high-end chip already found in other flagship phones like the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Oppo Find X9 Ultra. Since the OnePlus Ace 7 is believed to arrive in Q4 2026, it’s very possible that the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 will be out and ready to power the new device, which could even be the OnePlus 16.
Potential Features and Improvements
It kind of looks like the Ace 7 may come with an active cooling system with a built-in fan to prevent overheating during intensive tasks, unlike the Ace 6 Ultra which used an external fan system. Also, tipster Digital Chat Station hinted that the upcoming OnePlus series could have an ultra-high refresh rate screen, but didn’t specify exactly what it would be. Based on recent leaks, the OnePlus 16 might sport a display refresh rate as high as 240Hz for smoother visuals.
