Nitecore has introduced the BB Nano Wired, an exceptionally small air blower built for precision cleaning tasks such as clearing dust from laptop keyboards, tight spaces inside PC enclosures, and camera bodies. The device weighs 3 ounces and measures 1.85 x 1.85 x 3.62 inches, trading the built-in battery found in the earlier BB Nano for a tethered USB-C power design.
No Battery, Variable Performance
Because it relies entirely on an external power source, the blower’s output scales with the supplied voltage. When connected to a USB Power Delivery source at 20V—such as a suitable power adapter or power bank—it can generate air speeds of up to 31 mph. Performance steps down to 19 mph at 9V or 12V, and reaches 12 mph when running at 5V.
Around the USB-C port, an RGB LED ring provides a visual indicator of the input voltage level by changing color. Nitecore has previously deployed a similar luminous ring on devices like the NB10000 Gen4 power bank, where it served to make the port easily visible in low light.
Continuous Output and Market Positioning
Nitecore states that the BB Nano Wired produces 3 kPa of pressure, roughly twice the output of a manual squeeze blower of the kind frequently sold as a camera accessory. Unlike a hand-operated bulb, the motorized unit delivers this airflow steadily rather than in short bursts. For reference, the battery-equipped BB Nano produces 2.6 kPa and comes in slightly heavier at about 3.5 ounces.
The compact blower category has expanded steadily as remote and hybrid work has focused more attention on desktop and portable gear maintenance. The BB Nano Wired is now beginning to ship, though it has not yet reached all official distribution channels. Pricing has not been announced at this stage. The battery-powered BB Nano currently retails for $29.95 in the US, offering a baseline for what the corded version may cost.
