MSI has officially launched the Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition Draco Epic, a limited-run anniversary laptop first unveiled at Computex in June. The configuration is now available to order with a retail price of $6,999.99.
A milestone release with an engraved design
The laptop marks the company’s 40th anniversary and showcases what MSI describes as a dragon-inspired motif etched directly into the metal. An anodization process embeds the colors into the surface rather than applying them as a coating. The machine ships in a special presentation box that includes extras tied to the anniversary: a limited edition coin, a gaming mouse, and a mousepad. A digital game code for Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is also bundled with the purchase.
Flagship internals and display technology
Under the hood, the Titan 18 HX runs Windows 11 Pro and is built around an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 laptop GPU with 24 GB of GDDR7 memory. Memory is configured at 96 GB of DDR5 RAM across two 48 GB modules. Storage combines a 2 TB NVMe Gen5x4 SSD with a 2 TB NVMe Gen4x4 drive, giving the system a total of 4 TB of solid-state storage.
The 18-inch MiniLED panel delivers a resolution of 3840 × 2400 at a 120 Hz refresh rate and carries VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification. While the screen technology is MiniLED, the underlying panel is an IPS-type display. A 99.9 Wh battery powers the chassis, which is built from a magnesium-aluminum alloy.
Broad wired and wireless connectivity
MSI equips the Dragon Edition with an expansive port selection: two Thunderbolt 5 ports, one HDMI 2.1 output, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, an Ethernet jack, and an SD Express card reader. Wireless connectivity spans Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Audio hardware includes four 2 W speakers and two 2 W woofers, complemented by a combo microphone-headphone jack. A mechanical-per-key RGB keyboard and a haptic RGB touchpad handle input, while an IR Full HD webcam with a physical privacy shutter supports HDR and 3D noise reduction.
