LG has quietly introduced the 2026 edition of its Gram 16 laptop, refreshing the ultralight flagship with Intel’s Lunar Lake processor platform. While the exterior retains the series’ signature minimalist profile, the internal upgrade marks a shift from the Arrow Lake chips found in the 2025 model, bringing updated integrated graphics and efficiency gains to the thin-and-light category.
New processor options and integrated graphics
The 2026 Gram 16 will be available with two Intel Core Ultra processor configurations. The entry-level variant relies on the Core Ultra 5 226V, which includes Intel Arc 130V integrated graphics. Buyers seeking more performance can opt for the Core Ultra 7 258V, a chip that steps up to Arc 140V graphics. These choices push the standard Gram 16 closer to the performance territory of the existing Gram Pro line, though a key difference remains in the display technology.
Display, build, and battery life
Unlike the Gram Pro 2025, the non-Pro model does not feature an OLED panel. Instead, LG has equipped the laptop with a 16-inch IPS display that offers a 2560x1600 resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The screen covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, making it a viable option for color-sensitive professional work despite lacking the contrast of OLED. Portability remains a central selling point: the laptop measures 15.7 mm thick and, according to LG, weighs as little as 1.239 kg (approximately 2.73 lbs). A 77 Wh battery is integrated into this slim chassis, with the company rating it for up to 23.5 hours of runtime on a full charge.
Connectivity and pricing in China
The 2026 Gram 16 offers a practical selection of ports, though a microSD card slot appears in some materials without being highlighted in official promotional details. The laptop also includes a Dolby Atmos speaker setup and supports LG gram Link for cross-device connectivity. In China, LG has set a launch price of CNY 7,649 (around $1,130) for the configuration with a Core Ultra 5 226V processor, 16 GB of RAM, and a 512 GB SSD. The higher-tier model, which combines the Core Ultra 7 258V with 32 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD, is priced at CNY 9,499 (around $1,402). While LG has already listed the laptop on its website, the company has not yet announced plans for a global release.
