Ayaneo has confirmed the name and first promotional image of its upcoming retro gaming handheld, the Konkr Pocket Advance. The company had previously indicated that two new devices were on the horizon, but for now, it is keeping the spotlight firmly on this model, withholding any fresh details about its next Windows-based handheld.

A Familiar Silhouette Takes Shape

The image shared by Ayaneo has been deliberately blurred to heighten anticipation ahead of a full reveal scheduled for July 17. Even with the visual obfuscation, the outline strongly suggests a design that draws directly from the classic Game Boy Advance. This nostalgic form factor positions the Pocket Advance as a direct competitor to devices like the Anbernic RG34XX, which entered the market in December 2024 and is priced at $79.

Hardware and Availability Remain a Mystery

Ayaneo has not yet disclosed any hardware specifications for the Konkr Pocket Advance. However, given the company’s track record of releasing more capable hardware, it is widely expected to surpass the performance of the RG34XX, which is built around the relatively modest Allwinner H700 chipset. No details regarding pricing or a release window have been announced, leaving the handheld’s market position open to speculation for the time being.
