HP has introduced a new 16-inch addition to its OmniBook series, bringing Intel’s latest Panther Lake platform to a larger form factor. The OmniBook 7 16 succeeds earlier Lunar Lake-based 16-inch models and is currently available exclusively in the United States. A broader international rollout, including the Eurozone and the UK, is anticipated later this year.
Processor and Graphics Options
The system can be configured with five different processor choices. The top-tier Core Ultra X7 358H and Core Ultra X9 388H variants are the only ones equipped with the Intel Arc B390 integrated graphics, which feature 12 Xe3 cores. The remaining three processor options include a lower-tier iGPU limited to 4 Xe3 cores. Memory configurations range from 16 GB to 64 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, paired with up to 2 TB of internal storage and a 70 Wh battery.
Three Distinct Display Choices
HP offers three display configurations for the device. The baseline is a 1200p IPS panel with a 60 Hz refresh rate, 300 nits of peak brightness, and 62.5% sRGB color space coverage. A step-up option delivers a 1600p resolution at 240 Hz on an IPS panel, raising peak brightness to 500 nits and achieving 100% sRGB color accuracy. For users seeking deeper contrast, a 120 Hz OLED panel is available at a 1280p resolution, offering 400 nits of SDR peak brightness, 620 nits in HDR, and full 100% DCI-P3 color space coverage.
Pricing and Availability
The official starting price for the OmniBook 7 16 is $1,309.99, which includes a Core Ultra 5 325 processor, 16 GB of RAM, a 512 GB SSD, and the 1200p IPS display. HP has already discounted this entry-level configuration to $849.99. At the top of the range, a fully configured model featuring the Core Ultra X9 388H, 64 GB of RAM, a 2 TB SSD, and the 120 Hz OLED display is priced at $3,079. Pre-orders are scheduled to begin shipping on July 31.
