Haylou has officially launched the Watch Hyper, a budget-friendly smartwatch that aims to pack premium features into an accessible package. The device centers on a 1.97-inch AMOLED touchscreen with adaptive brightness, which the company says delivers sufficient clarity across varied lighting environments, though exact peak brightness figures have not been disclosed.
Battery performance and GPS capabilities
Power is supplied by a 390mAh battery. According to Haylou’s specifications, users can expect up to 18 days of typical usage on a single charge. When the dual-band GPS is actively tracking a route, however, that figure drops to a rated 24 hours. The positioning module relies on L1 and L5 dual-band frequencies, a configuration designed to maintain accuracy even in dense urban areas or heavily wooded terrain. For outdoor navigation, the watch supports offline maps, reinforcing its utility for hiking and exploration.
Fitness tracking and health tools
The Watch Hyper offers 170 sport modes, automatic workout detection, VO2 Max estimates, and a 5 ATM water resistance rating for swimming and daily submersion. On the health side, the sensor array monitors heart rate across multiple modes with two-way data synchronization to the companion app, and it can measure stress and blood oxygen levels. Sleep tracking is not included, which marks a notable omission compared to several rivals in this price bracket. For data sharing, Haylou emphasizes a one-tap Strava sync feature, though the company has not detailed compatibility with other popular fitness platforms.
Pricing and availability
The Haylou Watch Hyper is currently available through the brand’s official online store for $85. It can also be found on AliExpress, with black and silver colorways offered at launch.
