GameSir is expanding its growing lineup of themed hardware with a new controller inspired by the Yakuza franchise. The company has offered a first glimpse of the design through a teaser posted on social media, showing a gamepad created in partnership with SEGA and drawing directly from Yakuza: Like a Dragon, the 2020 entry in the long-running series.
A Design Rooted in the Underworld
The reveal image showcases a silver faceplate dominated by a detailed dragon illustration, paired with dark red thumbsticks. This crimson tone extends to the X, Y, and M buttons, while the grips, D-pad, and shoulder buttons are finished in a matching silver. A dedicated charging dock is part of the package, presented in the same dark red and bearing the metallic emblem of the Tojo Clan, the fictional crime organization central to the series.
Licensing and Expected Connectivity
Although GameSir has not yet shared the product’s official name, the controller belongs to the G7 Pro family and carries official Xbox licensing, confirming compatibility with Xbox consoles. What remains unclear is whether the device will support wireless connectivity for Xbox or rely on a wired connection. Previous G7 Pro releases have been split: the Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Edition debuted as the company’s first wireless Xbox controller at $99.99, while subsequent wired special editions launched at $89.99.
Pricing and Availability
GameSir has not announced a release date or confirmed pricing for this collaboration. If the pattern established by earlier variants holds, the controller will likely retail for $89.99 without wireless Xbox support or $99.99 with wireless functionality. More details are expected when the official name and full specifications are disclosed.
