Acemagic has introduced its latest compact computing solution, the F9A, a mini-PC that packages AMD’s most powerful mobile silicon into a 2-liter chassis. The aluminum-bodied system, measuring 158 × 158 × 85 mm (6.22 × 6.22 × 3.35 inches), is built around the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 SoC, combining 16 CPU cores and 32 threads with an integrated neural processing unit that delivers 50 TOPS of dedicated AI performance. Total system-level AI throughput reaches 126 TOPS, positioning the device for local generative AI workloads.

Processing and memory configuration

The platform supports up to 128 GB of soldered LPDDR5X-8000 memory and offers two M.2 slots for PCIe 4.0 x4 solid-state drives, allowing generous expansion for storage-intensive applications. While the F9A does not include a discrete internal GPU, it provides an OCuLink port operating at PCIe 4.0 x4 speeds, enabling users to attach an external graphics enclosure for additional rendering power—though bandwidth will be more constrained than on a full-size desktop slot.

Connectivity and physical controls

Wired and wireless connectivity is extensive, headlined by two USB4 ports, three 10 Gbps USB Type-A ports, and an HDMI 2.1 output. Networking duties are handled by dual 2.5 GbE Ethernet jacks alongside Wi-Fi 7 support, supplemented by an SD card reader and a 3.5 mm audio jack. Tapping into Microsoft’s AI assistant features, the F9A incorporates a dedicated Copilot hardware button, supported by an embedded microphone array and dual 2-watt speakers. The system also includes configurable RGB lighting accents.

Market positioning and near-term alternatives

Acemagic has not yet disclosed official pricing or a release date for the F9A. For buyers seeking an immediately available option in the high-performance mini-PC segment, the recently reviewed GMKtec EVO-X2 continues to serve as a competitive choice with comparable design priorities.
