Bigme has introduced the Hibreak Dual 2, a smartphone built for users who want both a conventional display and a power-efficient e-ink panel in one device. The company, well-known among e-ink enthusiasts but less familiar to mainstream consumers, previously brought the single-screen Bigme Hibreak to market. As its name suggests, the latest model takes the dual-screen concept further, pairing a color-capable e-ink display with a standard LCD.
A more balanced dual-screen design
The Hibreak Dual 2 substantially reworks the layout seen in the original Hibreak Dual. Where the earlier model relied on a relatively compact LCD, the Dual 2 gives both screens nearly identical footprints, making each panel equally practical for daily use. The e-ink side now measures 6.13 inches diagonally and supports color content, while the LCD comes in at 5 inches. Bigme has not yet published full technical specifications.
Familiar chipset and modern software
Under the hood, the device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor. While this chipset is no longer the newest option on the market, it should still deliver a comfortable level of performance for typical tasks. The smartphone ships with Android 16 as its operating system, and the manufacturer confirms that stylus input is supported across the interface.
The Hibreak Dual 2 is expected to launch first via Kickstarter, with a broader commercial release, likely including availability on Amazon, anticipated afterward.
