BenQ has introduced the PD2732U, the inaugural display in its new Creative Pro monitor series. Targeted squarely at photographers, graphic designers, and video editors, this model is positioned as a premium step-up from the existing PD2706U, promising meaningful improvements in color fidelity and connectivity.
A color-accurate panel with uniform brightness
The monitor is built around a 27-inch IPS panel with a 3,840 x 2,160 pixel resolution, a standard 60 Hz refresh rate, and a brightness rating of 400 nits. While those timing and luminance figures are relatively conventional for the category, BenQ emphasizes that the screen can reproduce 99 percent of both the DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB color spaces. The company also highlights particularly uniform brightness distribution across the entire display area, an attribute that matters greatly for detail-oriented visual work. Adjustments to color profiles, brightness, and other parameters can be handled entirely through the BenQ Display Pilot 2 desktop application, bypassing the on-screen menu.
Thunderbolt 4 connectivity and creative controls
For connectivity, the PD2732U includes two Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) ports. One can connect to a laptop while supplying up to 90 watts of charging power, and the other supports daisy-chaining a second monitor. Additional inputs are covered via HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.4. BenQ also supplies a Hotkey Puck with a rotary dial and five programmable buttons, giving quick access to screen brightness adjustments and tools within creative applications.
Pricing and availability
The BenQ PD2732U is now available in the United States priced at $699. Further specifications and support details can be found on the official product page.
