Acer has unveiled a new high-performance configuration of its Nitro V 16 AI laptop, adding AMD’s Ryzen 9 270 processor to the lineup. The updated version is now available for pre-order in the United States at a price of $2,099.99, with shipment scheduled to begin on July 12. It carries the model number ANV16-A31-R8XV.
A More Powerful Processor Option
The Nitro V 16 AI was previously offered with several AMD processors, including the Ryzen 7 260, Ryzen AI 7 350, and Ryzen 5 variants. The new iteration upgrades the platform to the Ryzen 9 270, an 8-core, 16-thread chip capable of reaching boost clocks up to 5.2 GHz. It operates with a base thermal design power of 45 W, extendable to a maximum of 54 W. Performance is reported to be on par with the AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS and R9 7940HS, placing this configuration meaningfully ahead of earlier Nitro V 16 AI versions. The processor is paired with an 85 W Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU, 16 GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 512 GB solid-state drive.
Display and Connectivity Details
The laptop is built around a 16-inch display with a native resolution of 1920 x 1200 and a 180 Hz refresh rate, with the panel covering 100 percent of the sRGB color space. For wired and wireless connections, the device supports Wi-Fi 6E and includes a USB4 port capable of 90 W charging, full-bandwidth HDMI 2.1, three USB-A ports, a Gigabit Ethernet jack, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Pricing and Additional Configuration
Alongside the Ryzen 9 270 model, Acer has also listed a more affordable variant for the same July 12 release date. That configuration includes a Ryzen AI 7 450 processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 laptop GPU, and it is priced at $1,899.99. Both models are available for pre-order now.
