Anker’s New USB-C Chargers: Multi-Port and 240W Power Output

As seen in a recent thread on the r/Anker subreddit, Anker is looking to broaden its range of USB-C chargers with five new options, each designed to meet various power demands and compatibility with devices. Notably, these chargers do not include any USB-A ports, making them ideal if you only use USB-C gadgets.

Overview of the New Models

Here's an overview of the specifications for each charger:

  1. 2-Port 50W Wall Charger (Model A2689): This charger comes with two USB-C ports, providing a maximum output of 50W when utilizing just one port. The total output from both ports is still 50W. It is designed for easy transport, featuring a type A foldable plug that is commonly used in North America, and it also has variants for types A, C, G, and I.
  2. 30W Wall Charger (Model A2657): This single-port USB-C charger is compact and offers a maximum output of 30W. It includes a foldable type A plug and supports additional plug types, including A, C, G, and I.

More Chargers to Consider

  1. 4-Port 150W Wall Charger (Model A2655): This model boasts four USB-C ports and can provide up to 140W from the top port alone. When using multiple ports, it can share power among them, allowing for configurations such as 100W + 50W or 100W + 30W + 20W. It has a foldable type A plug and is compatible with regional plug types (A, C, G, and I).
  2. 3-Port 70W Wall Charger (Model A2604): Featuring three USB-C ports, this charger offers a total output of 70W. It can deliver 70W from a single port or distribute the power across several devices connected at the same time. Like the others, it also has a foldable plug and supports plug types A, C, G, and I.
  3. 4-Port 240W Desktop Charger (Model A2644): This desktop charger is the most powerful in the new collection, featuring four USB-C ports with a peak output of 240W. The main port can provide up to 140W on its own, and if multiple devices are plugged in, it distributes power accordingly (for instance, 140W + 100W or 70W + 30W + 20W when using three ports). It also has a detachable base for enhanced versatility on your desk.
