AGM, a prominent producer of durable smartphones and tablets, has introduced its latest model, the Pad P2 Active rugged edition, to the Chinese market. This release follows the earlier launch of the standard version of this tablet earlier this year. Let’s delve into its main features.
AGM Pad P2 Active Specifications
The tablet boasts a 10.95-inch display with a resolution of 1200×1920, a refresh rate of 90Hz, and a brightness level of 480 nits.
Powered by a MediaTek G99 processor, the device is equipped with 8GB of RAM and an additional 8GB of virtual RAM, ensuring smooth multitasking and responsive performance. It offers 256GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 512GB using a microSD card.
Operating on Android 14, the tablet includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, a 50MP main rear camera, an 8MP front camera, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi, and is compatible with capacitive pens. It also features a compass and other useful tools for outdoor and industrial applications.
The device is powered by an 8000mAh battery that supports 20W fast charging and OTG reverse charging.
Durability and Design
The AGM Pad P2 Active is designed to endure tough environments, featuring an “exoskeleton” case that improves drop protection and IP68 and IP69K certifications for water and dust resistance.
This rugged tablet can withstand being submerged in water for several hours and can be easily cleaned in dusty conditions. Additionally, it meets the MIL-STD-810H standard for drop resistance, capable of withstanding drops from 1.5 meters on all six sides.
For those who prefer a lighter design, the exoskeleton can be removed. The tablet’s dimensions are 259.5x171x9.3mm, and it weighs 596g without the exoskeleton and 1100g with it.
The tablet includes a 360-degree rotating “turret” stand, allowing for flexible positioning and use. This stand can be set horizontally or vertically, providing added convenience. The P2 Active also features four speakers, ensuring balanced and immersive sound.
