Acer has unveiled the Swift 14 AI laptop, featuring the top-tier Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processor. This new model boasts a 120Hz display refresh rate and illuminated AI icons.
Display and Design
The Swift 14 AI comes with a 14.5-inch screen in a 16:10 aspect ratio. It joins a lineup of ARM laptops equipped with the recently announced Snapdragon X Elite SoC, including the ASUS Vivobook S 15, Microsoft Surface Pro 11, Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x, and Dell XPS 13. The laptop has a slim profile at 15.9mm in height and weighs approximately 1.68kg. It offers a variety of ports for enhanced usability, including two USB-C ports, an HDMI 1.4 interface, and an audio jack. The device is powered by a 75Wh battery that provides up to 12 hours of use on a single charge.
Performance and Features
When Microsoft Copilot is active, the symbols on the trackpad and the display lid light up. The Swift 14 AI's Snapdragon X Elite processor is complemented by 16GB of LPDDR5x-8533 RAM and up to 1TB of PCIe 4 SSD storage. The laptop's display resolution is 2560 x 1600 pixels, covering the full sRGB color gamut. It supports WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, and features a 1440p webcam with a privacy shutter and an infrared camera for facial recognition login with Windows.
Pricing & Availability
Scheduled for release in August 2024, the Acer Swift 14 AI will start at $1,099. The base model will be equipped with the Snapdragon X Plus processor, while higher-end versions will feature the Snapdragon X Elite SoC.
