The Fusion 15 lightweight mid-range laptops designed for gaming from XMG have been upgraded with the newest Intel and Nvidia technologies. This year, the Fusion 15 (l25) models are designed to closely resemble the AMD-based Core 15 models that were released in August. Notable features of the 2025 Fusion 15 laptops include their light weight of 1.95 kg, owing to an aluminum chassis, and the Nvidia RTX 5050 dGPU, which is currently unique to XMG’s offerings.
Compact and Efficient Design
The L25 version of the XMG Fusion 15 is smaller (342 x 236 x 22 mm) and lighter than the 16-inch model that was introduced last month, emphasizing energy efficiency and battery longevity. Rather than the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX found in the Fusion 16, the 15-inch model includes a Core Ultra 7 255H with 16 cores, enabling over 10 hours of runtime in streaming mode, thanks to its 99.8 Wh battery.
Graphics and Power Options
In the base configuration, XMG includes the newly launched entry-level RTX 5050 dGPU, but, similar to the 16-inch version, there are also more powerful choices such as the RTX 5060 and 5070 dGPUs. All three configurations operate at 115 W TGP with Dynamic Boost activated. For power limitations, a Fusion 15 with an RTX 5070 can achieve 90 W sustained for CPU and 165 W sustained for the combo of CPU and GPU.
On the display, it features the same setup found in the Core 15 models. The 15.3-inch IPS screen has a resolution of 2560 x 1600, a maximum brightness of 500 nits, a 100% sRGB color gamut, and a refresh rate of 300 Hz, along with Adaptive Sync technology.
Memory and Connectivity
The maximum DDR5 RAM capacity is 128 GB, accommodating two SO-DIMM slots, and the maximum storage can reach 16 TB through two M.2 PCIe 4.0 slots. There is also support for DDR5-6400 CSO DIMMs.
The port selection is comprehensive, with connectors positioned at the back and sides. Back connectors include an HDMI 2.1 (48 Gbps) and HDMI 2.0b (18 Gbps), a Mini DisplayPort 2.1 compatible with DP40, a Thunderbolt 4 with DP80-compliant DisplayPort 2.1, and a 140-watt USB-C Power Delivery (20 V, 7 A), along with the connection for the 240-watt power brick. On the sides, XMG provides USB-C 3.2 Gen2 with DisplayPort 1.4a and 100-watt Power Delivery, three USB-A 3.2 Gen1 ports, a Gigabit LAN port, a 2-in-1 audio jack for headset and mic, as well as a fast SD Express full-size SD card reader. Wireless connectivity is facilitated through a Wi-Fi 7 card.
Other notable features include an FHD webcam with a physical privacy shutter and a full-sized RGB keyboard with concave keycaps, along with a large touchpad measuring 123 x 77.5 mm.
The base configuration of the XMG FUSION 15 (L25) comes with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050, 16 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM, and a 1 TB Samsung 990 EVO Plus SSD. This setup is priced at €1,549, which includes 19% VAT. For an additional fee, upgrades to an RTX 5060 (€120) or RTX 5070 (€315) are available. The XMG FUSION 15 is currently in stock and ready for immediate orders. To celebrate the launch, bestware.com is providing a 5% discount on all configurations of the laptop for a limited time.
