Xiaomi wrapped up last month by launching the Smart Band 9 Pro and Watch S4 in China. However, it appears that the company might soon introduce the Smart Band 9 Active to the global market as well. While there’s been no official announcement, there are growing hints that this could happen soon.
Certification Signals Global Release
Recently, Xiaomi received certification for a device with the model number 'M2435B1' from the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). This certification primarily pertains to the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, but it often suggests that a global release could be on the horizon for the device.
Details from Amazon Listing
As is typical, the EEC paperwork doesn’t provide much useful information. However, when we look up the model number, we find a listing on Amazon France. This listing not only hints that the Smart Band 9 Active is expected to hit European stores on November 18, but also indicates that it will be priced at €29.99.
Comparisons and Features
Essentially, the Smart Band 9 Active is intended to be a more affordable option compared to the Smart Band 9 (currently priced at $52.99 on Amazon). Despite the lower cost, it will still include impressive features such as a 1.47-inch AMOLED screen with a brightness of up to 450 nits, 5 ATM water resistance, and a battery life lasting up to 14 days, powered by approximately a 300 mAh battery.
