Xiaomi is set to introduce its most advanced foldable phone yet, the MIX Fold 4. Although the exact launch date remains undisclosed, offline blind pre-orders have reportedly started in China, suggesting a launch is imminent. Rumors point to a possible July release.
These pre-orders require a 100 yuan deposit and offer attractive perks such as priority selection during purchase, access to all official launch promotions and gifts, early delivery of the phone upon release, and potentially exclusive launch discounts (details yet to be confirmed). There is also the option to cancel and receive a full refund after the official announcement.
Design and Specifications
Leaks indicate that the Mix Fold 4 will boast a more premium design compared to its predecessor. The back panel might feature a faux leather finish and a raised rectangular module containing four cameras, an LED flash on the left, and Leica branding on the right.
The camera setup is expected to include a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 60MP 2x telephoto lens, and a 10MP 5x periscope telephoto lens.
Performance and Features
The device will be notably slim, measuring less than 10mm in thickness when folded. It is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and will have a battery capacity exceeding 5,000mAh with support for wireless charging.
Additional upgrades for the MIX Fold 4 include satellite communication, 5G network support, and IPX8 water resistance. According to reports, the Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 will be exclusive to China and is expected to compete with other high-end foldable phones like the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro and the Honor Magic V3.
