Xiaomi 14 Ultra in India Gets HyperOS Camera Update

Xiaomi's latest camera flagship has made its way to India this year, and a new update has been rolled out to enhance its features. This update, which is 272 MB in size, introduces a new portrait effect and various camera optimizations. It is currently being released in phases.

Sandeep Sarma, Xiaomi India's PR representative, announced the update on Twitter, emphasizing the new portrait effect. With the update, users can now utilize a 120mm lens for portrait mode. Additionally, the default focal length can now be adjusted.

Portrait Mode on 5x Camera – 120mm Lens

The primary camera has a 23mm focal length, but the update allows users to set their default focal length to 28mm or 35mm as well. This is more than just a novelty; many smartphone cameras suffer from edge distortion, but with the 35mm focal length, even if you need to move a bit further from your subject, you can achieve a new perspective without significantly compromising quality. The portrait mode has also been enhanced with two new options: Master Portrait and Leica Portrait.
