Vivo Y300 5G Launch in India on November 21, Rebranded V40 Lite

Vivo is all set to launch their new 5G smartphone, the Y300 5G, on November 21 in India. The company has confirmed the date and shared details about the phone’s design, which looks a lot like the V40 Lite that was launched globally.

Design and Features

The teaser image reveals a device that comes in the same color choices: Titanium Silver, Dynamic Black, and Emerald Green. The design closely mirrors that of the Vivo V40 Lite, indicating that the Y300 5G might just be a rebranded version made specifically for the Indian audience.

Specifications Overview

The Vivo V40 Lite features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor. It’s believed that the Y300 5G will include a 50MP main camera using the Sony IMX882 sensor along with AI Aura Light. There are also talks about an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 32MP front-facing camera. Other expected features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, IP64 rating for water and dust resistance, stereo speakers, and a 5000mAh battery supporting 80W fast charging.

Additional Information

While the main specs are likely to be similar, there is some uncertainty around the RAM and storage options. This Y300 5G will be the second device in the lineup, following the Vivo Y300+ that was launched last month, which has a 6.78-inch curved FHD+ AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 695 chip, a 50MP dual-camera system, and a 5,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging.

The Y300 5G will be available for sale on Flipkart, the Vivo India e-store, and through authorized retail shops in the country. Pricing information for the new device hasn’t been shared yet, but its sibling, the Y300+, started at INR 23,999.
