The ongoing May Day celebrations in China have set the stage for the anticipation of new smartphone releases in the domestic market once the festivities conclude. Speculations suggest that Vivo is gearing up to introduce the Vivo X100 Ultra and Vivo X100s in the country, with Vivomay expected to commence teasers for these models as early as next week. Han Boxiao, the Product Manager at Vivo, has taken to Weibo to create buzz surrounding the Vivo X100 Ultra.
Teasing the Camera Capabilities of the Vivo X100 Ultra
Boxiao's Weibo post alludes to significant enhancements in telephoto resolution and low-light photography capabilities when compared to the Vivo X100 Pro. A recent official poster of the Vivo X100 Ultra showcased on the microblogging platform revealed a circular camera module housing three cameras within.
The camera configuration is anticipated to boast a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-900 primary camera equipped with OIS support, the same primary camera found on the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and the Oppo Find X7 Ultra. Furthermore, the X100 Ultra is expected to sport a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and may even incorporate a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera offering 4.3x optical zoom and 200x digital zoom capabilities. In April, Huang Tao, the Vice President for Product at Vivo, lauded the X100 Ultra by describing it as a professional-grade camera that also serves as a smartphone.
